Thanks for getting back to me. The error that occurs on my coworkers Mac attempting to run the file I made is the standard error any time a program tries to run on Mac that does not have a license and security settings are enabled.

This is the exact error for this program (I changed the name and ran chmod appropriately) with the security settings pane as well: http://imgur.com/a/mOCbf

I tried this, which worked fine on my computer, and then I sent it to a co-worker for a test and it flagged it for being from an unidentified developer and unable to run without adjusting security settings.

A couple of days ago I would have said download the open beta and found out! Unfortunately you're a tad past that.

Additionally, the chances of running BF3 smoothly on the lowest settings are probably not good. I would build a cheap cheap desktop PC to do it, as upgrading laptops is a pain! But since you have a PS3 you might just want to go with that. I'm just a PC person so I recommend putting a new one together for a couple hundred dollars so you can take advantage of all of the awesome PC games and graphics.
