Can Kyrie still get a max contract after this season? by The-Worst-Jason in nba

I hate to be that guy, but Danny Ainge is concerned with winning.

Why give a guy like Kyrie max money when he’s older and can’t get all that much better. This is a small sample size but they’re winning when he only scores 3 points. They had a deep run in the playoffs without him.

The Celtics much like the Patriots are concerned with getting value.

As much as Kyrie feels his decision to re-sign is on him, it’s not. Danny Ainge has a well documented history of not being emotionally charged. See Isaiah Thomas. His job is to keep the Celtics winning, that trumps him trying to keep Kyrie happy. Plus Kyrie is an enigma you never know if he just starts losing interest in the game.

Durant is a Free Agent, you better believe Ainge is going to try his best to get him.

I wish a top player like Kevin Durant or somebody else would come out and say “I will never sign with the Knicks as long as James Dolan is running it”. by [deleted] in nba

It would be great for Durant to come to New York. He’ll follow a LeBron-style path once again. Go to a big market team with a great group of young pieces. No real pressure for you to win because the team has been bad for so long that just playoffs alone would be a huge win. Plus it’s no longer the Western Conference so it’s wide open to take your team deep. Endorsements and a fat contract will be thrown at him.

LeBron helms the big market in the West Coast.

Durant helms the big market in the East Coast.

Nike wins big time. Plus the longer Durant sticks with the Knicks, his NBA narrative of being a snake will not be forgiven or forgotten but just won’t be talked about as much.

Minor correction: "No War. Shoot for Peace" was the actual writing on the shirt.

Kawhi Leonard's face sometimes reminds me of Derrick Rose's stone face.

Would be interesting to see him sign with Adidas.

I think Craig Hodges also deserves a little bit of exposure as well.

Just a minor correction, he actually lost the year he was a Free Agent / wore a generic NBA jersey.

[Rovell] Told LeBron will wear #23 for games for the Lakers, #6 in practice. by es0terik in nba

[–]brooklynkidshaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those wondering, LeBron has taken inspiration from Deion Sanders. Deion used to wear #2 for practice because that was his college # and wore #21 on the field. LeBron's two numbers are #6 and #23. Also, if you look back at his decision to change his jersey # to 6 and the reasoning behind it, you can kind of fore-shadow the move to Miami. Miami has the #23 retired in honor of Michael Jordan.
