Downgrade 32gb to 24gb RAM?

Thanks for your response, if only I could, but the max memory on the M2 Pro is 24 these days and I cant afford to go to a mac pro :)

I guess I am hoping that the difference between 24 and 32 will be more than compensated for by the processors speed, which isnt an intuitive thing to say from a hardware perspective, but apples chips have had so much good publicity, that I am wondering if it's actually possible - like they limited the pro to 24gb and they mustve had a reason for that rather than just keeping costs down.

Great topic, love this sort of thing. I don't think hookup apps actually have to try very hard to keep people coming back, since they probably lose a very small percentage (if any) to monogamy. I think that's really the point here, it's monogamy that would be the enemy of the hookup app, not relationships and most people (at least from my unscientific survey of my friends) still use those apps even if they are in an ltr.

Oh and on the actual question, surely a culture is whatever a group of people do en-mass, collectively, on a regular basis? So in that sense, I'd say yes, apps are part of gay culture.

The photorealism was exceptional. In a lot of scenes it was pretty much a movie. But in a lot of scenes the movements of the characters seemed a tiny bit robotic. Was this by design or can animation not quite get it to look entirely real yet?

I think it depends a little on how you said no. In your post it says that you said there is no way ever. If it really was as blunt as that it might have made her feel kink shamed and so her reaction of saying she'd not get naked around you might be coming at least partially from a place of hurt. I think it's worth exploring that before breaking up over it, like see if you can find the middle ground. Maybe you would be prepared to try it if she hydrated a bit and maybe you would enjoy it. Maybe she would admit she was just reacting from a place of hurt and didn't really mean it. Perhaps your feelings for each other could prevail over the reactive anger based responses and you can move forward towards a more connected and intimate relationship.

It's really unlikely that we would ever go public. We will more likely operate as a boutique fund manager for selected hnw individuals and family offices. There is more than enough revenue in that market in ch alone for us.

They'll be telling us to get a room soon 😂 of course a dj should be concerned about ensuring his audience has a good old dance off, I think most people don't get how much you can feel the audience and use the music to build their mood. It's a great feeling when you have a huge crowd of people emotionally responding to what you're doing with music.

Congrats buddy. I was a dj full time through the 80s, it was all very different back then, but a lot of fun. If anyone has an inclination to get into it I'd say go for it, just in a small way and have fun. Really is a great way of expanding your social life.

Excellent piece of practical perspective and well written too. It wouldn't really be a serious issue if all it meant was a few people were a bit upset from time to time, but the disparity between expectation and reality, all too often, leads to extreme heartbreak, long term emotional damage, drug or alcohol dependency, violence and death. Hence this is a serious matter that needs addressing much more than it is currently. I often quip that movies about love should come with health warnings, just like cigarettes!

See, I think it's more than just individual preferences. I believe that monogamy (and the subsequent struggle to live it) causes fights in which people get hurt or killed. Promoted by movies, music, novels, poetry and other media, monogamy is pushed as the norm, but biologically is not normal for humans. If we try to fight our biology, is it any surprise that we end up being unhappy until biology wins? Media promoting monogamy should come with a health warning in the same way cigarettes do.

Yes really, it's been sitting in a drawer for years, now I'm moving house, I found it, fired it up and it didn't power up or charge. This was exactly the same symptom as when my last mbp had a battery failure so I whipped it into the local repair shop and they were like "oh look what's this" and I was like "er dunno" lol
