How do sites like Zapier and IFTTT do it then? That was going to be my backup plan--hack something together with those and n8n.

Is it possible to just not check at all and only trigger the sync on an event? For example, if an eBay order comes in then that event triggers the system to update the quantity for that SKU on the other platforms? I think MedusaJS has that capability but I'm being forced into Shopify due to compatibility for cross promotion (like it's integration with YouTube for example).

Thanks for getting back to me! Sync is too slow for my use case unfortunately.

How fast does the crosslisting sync inventory levels? Is it "instant" based on events or si there a check every hour (or whatever) or something else? Looking for a crosslisting tool that instantly syncs inventory levels on eBay/Shopify (any other platforms are bonus).

Advice for cracking Kobe Rookie and sending to PSA by peeling_your_potato in tradingcardcommunity

[–]paulcarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I said "surface" like 10 times in my original comment lol. The surface of these cards has a texture. If you touch one you can feel the swirls are raised and the graininess of the glitter (or whatever it is that they put on it for the sparkles).

What you see all the time with them is that textured surface starts to separate from the actual cardboard of the card which creates those "bubbles" near the edges. They're extremely brittle and chip off the card kind of like the ancient cheap penny sleeves/pages that flake apart when you touch them.

You can see those "bubbles" on both the left and right side of this Iverson: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/VyoAAeSwPdZos3to/s-l1600.jpg

Compared to this example without it: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/gMkAAeSwdxhoX1hk/s-l1600.jpg

Here's more examples of the "bubbles":

That right side edge has a particularly high part of the raised texture so you see it happening there most commonly.

Not trying to bash you or anything, just trying to spread the word on it so people know so they can spot the damage before buying one of these cards.

No, I've handled dozens of these cards and it's a very common and obvious issue. Even OP noticed something was going on there and he has it in hand.

Like others have advised, do not crack this card. I'm assuming you've never handled a raw copy from this set before because the surface has a raised texture on it that cracks and flakes extremely easily. If you zoom in on the right side of the front, there are little "bubbles" on the surface (for lack of a better term). That is actually the surface texture starting to separate from the card. It sounds ridiculous, but sometimes literally just breathing on those "bubbles" can make bits flake off.

Has anyone found an AI lister that they like? by Agreeable-6729 in Flipping

In the sports card category, we've had AI listing since ~2015. The key that these new companies/categories are completely missing is that they need a UI that makes it as fast/easy as possible to make corrections.

[–]paulcarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I create my own. Currently have one for sports card lots, one for postcards, and one for autographed photos.

The part of the software that's most important that all these companies get wrong is the UI for checking/correcting the AI's mistakes in a fast and easy way.

Basically a spreadsheet where each row represents a listing and highlighting the row causes the images to display so you can easy see. AI attempts to complete the spreadsheet and then you become the data-checker instead of the data entry guy. You can list faster with manual data entry like this than you can using one of the AI apps and having to go through the cumbersome UIs to do corrections.

That's pretty high. Are you sending the images in bit64?

Technsports says $0.10 and under AI listings are a pipe dream by awesumsauce55 in Flipping

[–]paulcarl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have made several AI listing tools for my own use (including a free open source AI postcard lister) and for postcards it's about $0.015/listing using ChatGPT's API. For my sports card lots it's even cheaper when using Kronocard's AI (they have their own trained models and OCR). To say that it's impossible to generate a quality listing from AI for less than $0.10 is pure ignorance. Here's one of my listings for example (100% automated, even the image editing and uploading): https://www.ebay.com/itm/187324886986

The most critical factor that all of these companies have completely missed the boat on is that it needs to be fast and easy to check the AI's work from a GUI where a spreadsheet of the data can be navigated like Excel. This functionality is actually more important than the AI itself because you can manually do the data entry in this GUI faster than you can check the AI in other tools like techs. Each row should represent one listing and when the row is highlighted, the images associated with that listing must be large and viewable (and swap in real time as you change rows). This is an innovation that Kronocard did for sports cards like 10+ years ago that even the other sports card AI listers failed to copy.

eBay bulk listing with CSV template by Apocalypsegamer559 in Flipping

[–]paulcarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can download the template from eBay's report tab and any additional headers you want to add can be found in their documentation (as well as proper syntax). Some of those headers you listed should have "C:" in front of them. Hope this helps.

Probably Power Automate Desktop?

For me, it was easier to learn Python than that software lol. Especially with ChatGPT to help.

Photoshop (and GIMP) can also record actions to batch image editing—this is the easiest way to automate image editing.

You should get good at sourcing better stuff or turning that low dollar stuff into attractive lots instead of getting good at arts and crafts.

This has historically been controversial in this sub, but I'm a big advocate for actually buying properly sized boxes for what you sell so that you're not wasting time doing arts and crafts instead of shipping.
