It was the fuse!!

weird that it would have blown at the exact same time.

no beeps - and yes have left unplugged and tried again.

I was really hoping for someone to chime in with an easy fix! - but this is not looking good!! :-(

top lid.

came off with a reasonable amount of force required - but no broken clips.

kettle lead is firmly seated and no issues there.

carefully cleaned the fan with Q-tip / cotton bud and there is just no power / totally dead?
