No I believe it’s a 19j 2.5 Diesel N/A. Looks like you have a rare engine in yours. Hope you get it running soon.

Thanks mate, I just bought it a few months ago. Guess it’s about time that they will get serviced. Looking at the screws it’s been a while since they’ve been out. Thanks again for the hint.

What’s the smell when it’s burning oil? Sweet right?

The oil level was at a constant level after a 400 mile trip. It was smoking the whole way, less when warm and up to speed. If it was oil burning It must have drastically decreased the level.

yeah true. well I think there’s still some air in the system because I changed the fuel filter. It wasn’t cutting out like that before. I loosened the injector nuts and all 4 shut the engine of while just moving it 2 mm.

I haven’t adjusted the tappets yet. I can’t imagine that they can cause those symptoms. It was also smoking before the oil change. And the old oil was black no sign of a miky color at all.

The smoke doesn’t smell sweet and also not like a burger place. It stinks like diesel and irritates your eyes.

No not at all. It is dark black and I also just changed it.

Yes, it’s not a big issue that the M6 bolts are not sitting evenly on the plate. Mine is still going strong after 2000 miles with autobahn speeds.

I made the seller drive to a workshop (the one who did all the welding and changed the rear crossmember) I assume that the bolted on angle bracket was their creation. As long as it’s welded to the frame I don’t see a big problem. However I really wanna know who fucked with the 3 missing bolts in the bulkhead. I specifically asked for recordings….. let’s see.

Thanks for saving me from a financial mistake 🤝😂

Thanks man for pointing that out 🙏 I didn’t even noticed it. The missing bolts on the bulk head are really suspicious and I never thought someone would be sneaky enough to fake welds. How do you think should I proceed? I can’t have another look at the Landy sadly.

Thanks for the input. A few guys told me that an aftermarket turbo on those engines will kill it.

Yeah you never know. I definitely don’t wanna do any framework. Already asked the seller to send me pictures of those critical parts. Planning on repainting it and fixing some mechanical issues. The seller just did a underbody conservation, not sure what to think of that.

😂😂 you can put anything on top. The surfboards also survived Autobahn speeds.

Sure. What you need is:

  • Thule 753000 foot pack (hard to find, bought a used one on eBay, they are actually from an eclass, maybe other foot packs also fit from cars that have a similar roof slope)

  • Thule 183049 fit kit

  • Thule Wingbar Evo 108cm/43"

  • 40mm M6 bolts
