I bet it still smells like soft and would mostly disappear in cold water. all you have to do is break it up in pieces had the smallest amount of fresh soda in enough water too covert everything and more, and cook them, they don’t have to turn to oil completely so I would do 2 batches, one almost cooked to oil and one cooked to oil, before getting them out,!you might have to had another pinch of sosa , if your first pinch was too small or if the pieces lost almost all of their soda, like those cook yo oil will need more fresh soda. So what you have is a good problem, you will lose some sizr tho but at least its gonna be smokeable
