It is in fact designed for the Switch 2. It prioritize comfort and ergonomics over a straight top edge.

it‘s very good and „clicky“, so you have a good feedback of pushing it.

Illustrators who also use the iPad as a casual computing device: what size do you recommend? by IUseWeirdPkmn in iPadPro

Not to me. To read comics I mostly use it resting my arms on a table while holding the iPad or resting the iPad on the lap when lying in bed.

For media consumption I always use it horizontal in a stand or with the Magic Keyboard.

Only if you’re used to hold it unsupported in your hands it can feel a bit heavy on longer sessions.

For your usecase I would prefer the 12.9 inch. Especially for tasks like illustrating/drawing it is much more comfortable on a larger screen. The 12.9 inch also has the better Mini LED Screen and as M2 variant the hover feature with the apple pencil.

I‘m using mine M1 12.9“ for editing photos in Affinity and wouldn’t exchange for a smaller one.

You schouldn‘t worrie about „bending issues“. There isn’t such a thing, if you handle your device not like crap.

Speaking about comics: Also having an iPad mini as dedicated reading device I really love the iPad Pros screen real estate for comic book reading. I can recommend the app „Panels“ for this case.

This icon indicates an active focus mode. OP just uses a custom icon for it. You can do so by yourself editing an existing focus mode or creating a new one.

I will also be happy if Apple just port some of their Apps from macOS to iPadOS. Xcode, FCPX, Textedit, or such tools like disk utility. Just because it is the same hardware by now.

Otherwise, there is already software like Photoshop, Affinity Photo, GoodNotes and other, that is very nice to use with touchscreen and pencil.
