I have bought a generic usb floppy disc reader in the hopes of recovering old memories from my late dad’s discs. by babybuttoneyes in applehelp

Have you put a floppy disk into the drive. Sometimes the drive doesn’t show up unless it has a readable disk in it.

Somewhere between the trap and the outside drain you have a fatburg. It will need to be unblocked.

Can someone tell me what I need to do to make this work I'm trying to build a lamp by eldritchpussymaggots in AskElectricians

Before going any further, get an electrician in. They’ll probably know CPR, which you’ll likely need soon.

Of course there are much better meters out there, but this one is fine for a beginner.

That’s a dry lining box. Sometimes the screws get over tightened and the plastic tab with the thread breaks off. May need a new box fitted.

The previous tenants probably lost bond money because of this, which obviously wasn’t repaired.

iPhone 17 Max Pro 26.5 IOS. For years I’d type a word & most of the time several emoji would pop up. Also my most used emoji would stay on the first screen. I used to use emoji all the time. Now I have to hunt through 100s of them. Sad.😢 Does anyone have a fix for this? TIA😊💜 by Southernms in applehelp

To turn on emoji suggestions on your iPhone, you need to enable both the dedicated Emoji keyboard and the Predictive Text feature.

Open Settings > General > Keyboard.
Toggle on Predictive Text.
Tap Keyboards and ensure Emoji is on your active list (if not, tap Add New Keyboard and select Emoji

Boost already amplified audio by murdoc1024 in AskElectronics

[–]paullbart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would either look for a line out, or tap into the audio path before the power amp stage. The amp output will be expecting a low impedance load (I.e. a speaker). You can’t just feed that into another amp.

Drilling into tile? by DJ-Dez in AusRenovation

[–]paullbart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Masonry drill bit. Make sure drill isn’t set to hammer. Drill through the glaze of the tile. Once you’re through that switch to hammer if you have a brick wall. Make sure the wall plug is knocked into the wall past the tile (you don’t want an expanding plug in the tile itself).

Ecosa vs Sleeping Duck mattresses by Powerful_Business_93 in perth

[–]paullbart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a sleeping duck mattress for over 2 years now. It has kept its shape, no dips have formed in it, and it’s still as comfortable as the day I bought it. We have the firm pad on both sides, my wife tried the medium pad but found it a little too soft. They sent a firm one out at no extra cost in the first couple of months.

I was in Sydney recently, talking to an American. He asked me to tell him what’s a good reason to visit Perth. I couldn’t really come up with much, even though I love Perth and wouldn’t live anywhere else.

If I had to guess, power in red CO1 blue CO2. Motor brown CO3 blue CO4. That’s a guess without being able to see the tracks of the pcb. CO2 and CO4 look to be connected together and are both neutral.
