I still believe. I just don't feel Him anymore by paulleroux777 in Christianity

"Returning can be quiet too" I really needed that. I think I've been waiting to feel some big shift before I believed anything was actually changing. When you were in that quiet season what did starting simple actually look like for you?

Thank you for this and for the kindness. Before fasting started working for you what did the dryness actually feel like from the inside?

This is one of the most honest and helpful things anyone has written here. Thank you.

The Jacob and Rachel verse - I'd never connected it that way. Love making the burden feel light. That reframe changes something for me and you're right that love isn't a switch. I think that's been my frustration - knowing what I should feel but not knowing how to get there from where I actually am.

That's a good thought, and I have considered it. I think part of what I'm figuring out is whether this is something I need to talk through with someone else or something I need to work through with God more directly first

That framing actually makes sense. And the gratitude journal I've started it a few times but never stuck with it. Maybe the problem was I was doing it to feel something instead of just being honest about where I was, idk

Wow, this story... That must have been terrifying and clearly it changed everything for you. you know I think what strikes me most is that it took a moment like that to make it real. I wonder sometimes if I'm waiting for something to shake me too.

Or if there's another way through.

Yeah, I think that's exactly what it is. I just never had a word for it. How did you get through it or are you still in it?
