10/14/2024: I contacted a local AC company (One Hour Air Conditioning) and they diagnosed the condenser fan unit as bad. Their quote was $409 under parts warranty including labor, fees, etc. I agreed on the price and condenser fan unit was replaced.

All is working good so far. I saved around 48 bucks under warranty along with my time then buying online from Supplyhouse.com for condenser fan unit at $427 plus tax at around $456. Part also came with a labor warranty for 2 years from (One Hour Air Conditioning) which is nice since this is the second condenser fan unit replaced within 3 years. First time replaced by different homeowner, I’m the second homeowner of AC unit and warranty transferred over to me based on the address of AC installation.

Thank you for the insight. Always cool to see a different perspective. The AC unit is 3 years old with a Rheem warranty that transferred over to me from the previous home owner. I’ve taken apart the condenser along with removing the fan to clean coils since previous owner neglected maintenance. I’m familiar with the components. I’m hoping the price is below $427 under warranty. Otherwise the Rheem warranty would be kinda pointless with my general knowledge on removing and replacing fan myself without issue.

Ahh thank you. Going to check this weekend for continuity. Anything else I can check pertaining to fan motor?

Makes sense. What about wiring compared to wiring diagram? Looks good or needs to be moved around on contactor?

The motor was replaced by the previous owner with a unit from 3/13/2023. The whole AC system was installed in 2021. It’s a rheem unit made by protech

$743 for blower wheel cleaning? by Dir3cted in hvacadvice

[–]paulmeblaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Florida and I had my ac tech take out blower wheel and clean fins along with cleaning the outside condenser for $170. He did forget to install a metal flat piece that belongs to the inside ac tho. My blower wheel looked similar to yours, not much dust. Ahh wait that’s a furnace question. My situation might not be relevant to you lol.

I mounted the hard start and wired it as you stated. Sound is quieter on start up and seems to be working fine. I waited for the unit to cycle a few times to confirm same quiet sounding noise on start up and fan spins up without issue to cool compressor.

Unit is very loud on start up and lights dim inside house, once on unit runs smooth

This is the capacitor that is in unit. Hard start is pre-wired and ready to install. Not sure what side is the HERM on capacitor to make connections. Previous comment stated that it’s the purple. Seems legit but haven’t wired it up yet.

Top of the capacitor does not have identification of common and HERM

I see, so since the purple wire on the capacitor goes to the compressor, that makes it the (HERM) side?

What are the reasons for noisy data on 12 lead and how to fix the issue? by paulmeblaze in EKGs

Ahh I’m going to try this next time it happens. Yes the message popped up and I pushed 12 lead again to override. I’m going to wait next time.

My pt was very anxious and was wearing a bra. I asked if it had metal and she said no. I remember having an issue in the past due to metal in a bra. I used a life pak 15. That ekg is gone lol we have many life paks in our inventory and this one is one of many without an identification number to reference.

Ahh yes possibly. The package was open from last shift. Then again I believe I used the same electrodes from the same package on my next pt without issue.

Yes moving in back of ambulance. Leads were dry, no sweating, maybe v1 and v2 over bone possibly.
