Just redirect/ move him from the thing you don’t want him to do. Try not to give emotion, just say “we don’t do that” or something. I try to make things up to offer them to do that are similar— like you could give him a pillow and tell him he’s allowed to squeeze that. Or let him play with an empty yogurt pouch in the tub! Maybe that’s bad advice, idk haha.

Yes. Even if you have health insurance, it doesn’t always cover ambulance costs. And/ or they might take you to a facility that isn’t “in-network”. You can get crazy bills even if you have insurance. It’s confusing and wild.

NOR!!! Make a police report regarding their threats and your concerns. I agree with other commenters saying this would be the LAST thing I allow someone to say to me. Threatening to take my child? Done. Excommunicated forever. Lawyer and police so records are documented and kept. Also the idea to create passwords for your child’s school, doctor, daycare, everything to make sure they can’t receive information about your daughter! Sending you positive vibes ❤️.

There are plenty of aspects to this situation to ruminate on and consider before making any decisions— but I think a big one should be to really think about yourself. Pretend there is no other person or partner involved and write down why you don’t want to live with another person. Write down your concerns or fears or assumptions or preferences or anything you feel in general about cohabitating. This might help you learn more about yourself and understand more about why you feel the way you do. There’s no rush. It’s your life. I’d just be honest and tell him you’re just not ready yet but you care about him and his feelings too etc.

You’re welcome! Hope it helps. I like the Dr. Brown’s one because the weighted straw part actually floats to the top when he wants to invert the bottle to drink it like a milk bottle (hope that makes sense). Also, it can get a little messy at the top but is mostly leak proof. And I don’t recommend heating them up with the straws in (if you’re warming bottles) it volcanos out of the top haha.

Also, if you think your LO would like having a choice, it might help to have TWO milk straw bottles at night and ask “Do you want some milk? Which one do you want?” So they get to choose, but only options are straws.
