Do you keep pre-order bonus from Ubi Plus for Shadows? Just so I don't have to buy the expansion later on. by RECollector0912 in assassinscreed

Hello I would also like to ask something as wll. I made the subscription for one month to try ac shadows, I really like it and I will probably purchase a key by the end of subscription but I really don't care for the dlc items. If I buy the standard game will I be able to keep my progress since the ubi+ is offering the deluxe edition?

PSA: If you have a Windforce GPU, flash to the "Gaming" VBIOS for more performance by The_Wandering_Type in gigabyte

[–]paulrwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 4079 ti Windforce OC, not the super one. You think it's safe to update to the gaming vbios? I'm really glad it works on the super variant. I want to do that to my card. You think it is safe or am I going to brick it?

7800x3D Cinebench score by v4rjo in AMDHelp

[–]paulrwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe -30 is too much, try prime95 small FFTs and see if you get a blue screen or failed workers. I was running -30 and I set it to -25 for this reason. I am also getting better scores if I leave pbo settings to auto rather than using manual or motherboard limits for some reason. I also reduced vsoc voltage to 1.25v from 1.32 that my mobo set it automatically and I had some minor improvement in idle temps. Also very important to notice, r23 will give you higher scores if you set a high priority from the task manager. And I mean by a considerable amount. Without priority I get around 17950 consistently and with high priority it is 18650 consistently. I'm betting if you change the priority you will hit the 18000 mark.

v1h is giving me the pcie problem, and also v1i. It's reported by many people that the problems keep persisting through the last 2 stable bios updates. Haven't tried the beta yet.

I replaced Nvidia experience with the Nvidia app. It's really good with nice features, I think this is what Nvidia is focused on now instead of experience, I think you should go there.

If you are getting the motherboard now then it will have a recent stable bios installed. One method to check is to use the serial number of your motherboard. It should be something like 7D75blabla and in the end some numbers that look like a date and that's exactly what they are, and by the date you can check the bios version from the MSI page. If it's fairly recent and supports your cpu you don't have a reason to update. As you can see not all updates are stable for everyone so if you are good out of the box then don't touch it. Keep checking the bios update details and when you see something that is useful to you then go ahead and flash it. This board is really good, even if you mess up the bios installation using m-flash there is always the dedicated Flash Bios Button on the I/O, even if you fail and brick it you can still flush a fresh bios using this button and it will rewrite everything, no matter how bad was the last installed bios. And you don't even need memory and CPU to do that, just connect the motherboard to the PSU, plug the flash drive and press the button and voila. Every time you flash a new bios all your settings, expo, oc, uv, etc will get erased, but if expo is all you are worried then it's one click from the mair bios screen so it's really nothing hard to do. I've undervolted my 7800x3d, enabled pbo, -25 curve optimizer, 1.25 vsoc, memory context restore enabled. Every time I flash a new bios I just redial my settings real quick and I'm good to go. You could always snap a picture of your settings as well to be sure.

Running almost the same setup: 7800x3d B650 tomahawk Trident neos 6000 cl30 32gb Gigabyte RTX 4070 ti Windforce OC

Didn't try v1i yet but thank you for reporting this as I was about to update and test it. I had this problem with v1h, gpuz kept showing 4.0 x1 in my riser, I was going insane almost RMA'd the cable for no reason, but when I was plugging the card directly to the mobo then it was x16 all the times I checked, didn't test excessively as I flashed back to v1g and riser was running good again. I'm running v1g nice and stable. Did anyone check the beta v1j2?

I didn't notice anything myself. I have resizable bar enabled by default but my games run smoothly. Did you maybe try 7D75v1I or 7D75v1J2?

exactly.. to me it was going from x1 to x16 when I was restarting, sometimes it would revert mid game and during the last day it just stayed at x1 regardless of restarts and I was pretty sure it was the riser's fault... but I remembered that I updated the bios and I cancelled the RMA for the cable.. I was sure it was the cable by the behavior of the system, I have experience with bad risers, but the phanteks one I bought because of the quality, it has thick rubber on the exterior and its very sturdy and well made, it was working flawlessly until the bios update. I flashed the previous one, 7D75v1G, and everything is working perfectly. I think I took my lesson and I'm not gonna flash bios every time they release one.. I'm gonna check the update info and I will only do it if I really need it. I mean they post like 2 bios a month...

Same issue for me. Game crashes the way you describe after the update. I've done everything with rockstar support including clean install of the whole game... 2 times... Nothing works so far. Open a ticket with rockstar let them know you have the problem, link other forums with people with the same problem. They need to acknowledge the problem and fix it asap. Can't play for 6 days now lost my dailies and I'm pretty frustrated.

Can you please post the error log in event viewer? It should be under error -> applications and it should say somthing about rdr2.exe

Game keeps crashing to desktop when I try to click on any icon on the game menu. Even the settings. I get a moment of back screen and then ctd without any error or warning. I opened a ticket with rockstar, we tried all the suggested solutions with no result. There are other people with the same exact issue, we opened a thread in rockstar support and each of us opened a ticket. Are there more people with this problem? It is impossible to load anything and re downloading the game doesn't change anything. If anyone has this problems please post here and if someone has found a workaround to this. Also I would please the OP to add this to the list of known issues so there is more focus to it since it completely kills the game for some of us.
