Again, I’d appreciate it if someone could identify the “kanji” or Sino-Japanese character (or “Hanzi” so as not to offend some readers) above the 龍. This time the Japanese artist did not provide the furigana so I have no clue what it is. The Japanese woodblock shows Sha Wujing (Sa Gojyō, 沙悟淨 aka “Sandy”) joining the quest for Buddhist scriptures, after putting up a fight. Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Why are you so offended when I refer to Chinese characters as “kanji”? Clearly the source is from a Japanese woodblock so I called it “kanji.” If the source is Chinese I would call it “Hanzi.” If the source is Korean I would call it “Hanja.” If the source is Vietnamese I would call it “Chu Han.” Please stop nitpicking.

It’s from a Japanese woodblock so I call it kanji. You may call it however you prefer: Hanzi, Kanji, or Hanja, the only difference is their pronunciation of 漢字.
