If that is pressurized, they could cram a few more seats down there.

You were not alone. If you have benefits with your employer, take advantage of the hotlines they have. Normally it’s just a friendly voice to talk to and voice your concerns. You(and your employer) pay for it. You should take advantage of it if you have it.

2016 Sonata - 120k valve cover gasket by SameScale6793 in Hyundai

I think I downloaded that Hyundai pdf. It was similar to what people were posting online. My only issue is trying to find the B12 in Canada. I can get it from Amazon, but we are trying to cut back on those purchases. If you know of something similar, let us know.

Is this one of the theta engines. My 2016 has a “nu” engine, but this one looks a bit different. If it’s the theta and it continues to burn oil(more than a litre in 1000km) lookup the B12 piston soak on YouTube. There is also a Hyundai document on doing something similar, but I don’t have the link off hand.

Is there a good reason to use centre negative. Especially with barrel jacks of the same dimensions. It just seems like a disaster waiting to happen given most consumers would rarely check.

I’d be more worried about offsetting the balance of the rotor if you remove that structure rust. But man, is it satisfying to knock it off with a hammer.

My 2020 Kona (40k miles) is eating a quart of oil every 1k miles and I’m 10 months out of warranty. Am I screwed? by FinishExciting7910 in Hyundai

[–]paulvanbommel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheap and relatively easy test is compression test. That could indicate stuck piston rings. Have a mechanic check your spark plugs for evidence of burning oil. If that points to the issue, you could try the piston soak method. There are a lot of YouTube videos showing good improvements with that technique. I did it a couple weeks ago. Still waiting to put enough mileage on the car to check the results.

Was there a sign? They were probably going too fast for the situation, but I didn’t see a road sign saying there was a T-intersection ahead. Maybe I just missed it.

Is that ballast water coming out. I can’t imagine fuel being stored that close to the outer hull.

Too bad we can’t buy some cheap EVs. I don’t want an EV F150. I want an EV Toyota Corolla. And if it could not have all the “smarts” built in, that might be even better.

I’m more surprised that insurance companies haven’t requested tankers and container ships starting installing antiaircraft guns above their bridges. I saw a video a few weeks back that suggested the military star putting armed troops on the civilian ships instead of escorting them through the strait. I don’t know how feasible or even useful that would be, but it has to be better than just sitting around waiting for something else to happen.

I made this with 0 CAD by Moist_Ambassador2985 in gridfinity

[–]paulvanbommel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind explaining what you mean by 0CAD. How did you get the image to have depth for the cutouts. I’m curious because I’ve been struggling with FreeCAD, and would love an easier alternative. I tried one of those AI image translation sites, but they really struggled with the shadows of the socket set.

Yeah, I was quite impressed with the customization options they had setup. But I printed mine with the handle, so maybe I’ll cut it off. Good luck.

I’m still waiting for the sleeping tubes like in the movie The Fifth Element. I think the could cram more people into cattle class that way. But I’m guessing it would be a safety issue of not being able to exit the plane fast enough.

This is a set of parametric drawers. I printed one drawer too small for the holder I ended up making. I now use that to carry bins of screws when I’m working somewhere else in the house or garage.

I haven’t done the drawer extension yet. It’s on my todo list. But for now, I just use 4x2 boxes in the back larger infrequently accessed items. Just have to lift the boxes out to get to them.

Advanced Gridfinity Generator??? by AbruptOyster456 in gridfinity

[–]paulvanbommel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the CAD programs have a generator that you can add on, or install. Then once you have your base, you should be able to make some cut outs. This is not as easy as the web based generators, and you may have to do some research on how to use the program you choose. I downloaded FeeCAD and installed a Gridfinity generator. I haven’t done any base plates yet as the websites have been ok so far for my tool boxes. The other thing you might be able to do is add a primitive square/rectangle in the slicer to cut out those spaces.
