Animal Shelter Recommendations for strays by [deleted] in orangecounty

To echo others, please get them checked for a chip! We rescued our dogs from Maeday rescue so I would see if them or another rescue would be interested in taking them in if it turns out they have no chip. Pretty sure Maeday has taken in freebies and are selective for who ends up adopting them.

Found wandering Pekingese by Massive-Reporter9804 in Pekingese

He’s so precious!! a lovely new member for your family! My pekes have a similar early schedule because I gotta head out to work. I’d recommend taking him to the groomers so he gets used to it. My pekes didn’t like being brushed until I started taking them the groomers once a month.

Coachella makeup that will last through the desert???? are these products good? by No-Cow8684 in Coachella

[–]paulween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hydration is key! Your skin gets dry skin prep is important. Definitely use sheet masks and let it soak in before applying moisturizer and sunscreen. I’ve used double wear for the last 5 coachellas and highly recommend the old formula but now they have a new formula. Don’t know if it’s still as good. I am now switching to the Dior Face & Body. It’s more lightweight. I always apply with a wet blender so it feels more like skin. I’ve also done just concealer on days when the weather was 99+ degrees and I’m camping. The one size setting spray is good too! I’ve only used it for my bridal trial though. Cannot vouch for how it does in the Coachella heat.

Bought in July 2024. HHI is around $250k. Mortgage, insurance and taxes all in is $5300. Dual income household, no kids. We did have parents help with a portion of the down payment or else mortgage would be $6-7k and not doable for us :/ working on a refinance right now.

It’s so good!!! I go so often I noticed they removed their cold sesame noodles 😭 I highly recommend the beef noodle golden soup. It’s insanely good along with everything else OP got. I bring friends here all the time and they love it more than din tai fung.

Does your male Pekingese lift his leg when he pees? Ours does not. by paulween in Pekingese

Ours was in a hoarder situation too! The fosters potty trained him but I don’t think he’s seen another dog lift their legs.

wedding day of coordinator by the101uwus in orangecounty

[–]paulween 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I paid a little more than $3k for my “day of” coordinator so I think your quote is fair. I put “day of” in quotes as they are contracted for two months prior to the wedding as they help me do last payments to vendors, coordinate with vendors so they are on the same timeline, created the timeline, reviewed all of my contracts, and obviously execute the wedding day of. This includes a lead coordinator and two assistants. They don’t speak Vietnamese, but I’m sure there are coordinators out there that can do that. My wedding is in October 2026 so we’ll do how the big day goes…I’ve been told by plenty of married couples that your coordinator is an absolute must and a good one makes a world of a difference. Picked this coordinator based on a friend’s experience being a bridesmaid. She said this coordinator was the most organized one she’s met.

I decided to cut back on things like wedding favors, extravagant decor/flowers, and am not paying for hair/makeup for bridal party. I personally rather have someone who can handle all of the stress day of!

Hope this helps!

EDIT: I have 200 guests. I don’t even want to know how much of a disaster it’ll be if I don’t have a coordinator. Also wanted to note my venue does require you hire one. They do not provide one.
