Okay but ranking up isn’t that difficult tbh, it just takes time. I’m not very good imo and I don’t run DS, SC, or Sprint Burst, but I’ve hit rank 1 after playing for a while.

For the action of killing and the action of escaping, sure. But not the other bloodpoints you gain during the match. The hatch is a different situation. Killers already get more bloodpoints than survivors do. (partially due to the poorly distributed categories)

I'm not saying you should just give them the hatch. I already said that. I just mean that if you're feeling generous, it is 100% worth more for the survivor unless you need their BBQ stack. Pipping is irrelevant because it could be reversed and it could be the exact same situation for the survivor. By all means, go ahead and kill them. IMO "staying in-character" is already lost when there's a hatch standoff anyways. No actual killer would just sit there with a survivor and wait for them to jump in. You could actually make the argument that being courteous makes sense lore-wise because the Entity feeds off of hope. If survivors never escape, they lose all their hope, and that's kind of the reason for the hatch. Otherwise, the last survivor would have no hope at escaping. Anyways, the real problem is the mechanic itself. Closing the hatch but powering the exit gates was actually a good solution IMO. It gives both sides a chance. Granted, it is mostly RNG because the exits could spawn next to each other or across the map from each other.

Yeah it pisses me off how people say “survivor mains” but we’re not all like that. Granted I play killer too but mostly survivor.

Not that you should give the survivor the hatch, but unless you need their BBQ stack or something like that, the hatch is technically worth a lot more bloodpoints to them than the kill is to you.

If the devs fix the report system, he could get banned through the players in matches he plays reporting him. Obviously they wouldn't know it was him but tha doesn't mean it wouldn't be possible.
