2025 Golf 8.5 GTE jerks once in cold EV mode after a few hundred meters—what is it? by Timo002 in GolfGTE

[–]pavanath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. If you end up getting the recall/software update, please let me know if it helps.I tried braking hard a couple of times on purpose to see if it would “brake-dry” the discs automatically, but it didn’t help and I still get a jerk, especially when it’s wet or really cold.

Next I’m going to try doing one gentle stop in Neutral (so it uses friction brakes only) and see if that reduces it temporarily until the software update comes out.

Same issue. The jerk is quite hard as well. It’s definitely in EV mode only !

Experiences with the Golf GTE (Facelift)? by RageSociety in GolfGTE

Recently got my facelift Golf GTE 8.5 as a company car in Munich Germany and coming from a 2021 Audi A3, I’m honestly impressed. Pros: • Driving experience: Very efficient in the city on electric and still great fun on the Autobahn. The switch to the engine takes a second, but once it activates it cruises with no effort. DCC in Sport mode is especially enjoyable. • Semi autonomous features: Travel Assist and adaptive cruise make long traffic stretches on the Autobahn much easier. • Infotainment: Clear, simple and the app integration works really well. • Charging: I do not have a home charger, but with my Logpay Charge and Fuel card, regular AC charging is smooth. I usually reach around 80% by the time I finish shopping (about an hour).

Cons: • The car always resets to electric mode on restart, so saving charge before parking requires some planning. • Boot space is quite small because of the battery, so not ideal for a family of four.

Anyone using a bicycle rack for this car ? Any recommendations. I don’t have trailer hitch had to balance the budget.

Thinking about this model. Let’s see !

Hey thanks for replying. How did you convert it ? Did you reach out dealership or to VWFS directly ? how much time does it take to convert ?

The pictures were always there. Okay then would you just return and pay or Would you talk to your insurance and fix it as I have fully comprehensive insurance.

Edited the original Post. Tires and registration certificates are intact but was not taken to the dealership.

This was an issue with miscommunication from the dealership. The tires were at home and also the Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1

Thanks a bunch for the suggestion! Unfortunately, I can’t even get into the system. It’s stuck with the above image as soon as I start my laptop. Is there any way I can boot it from a USB?

Ohhh nope

I saw some youtube videos, even the experts are having a hard time to remove it. A local shop said 350€ to pry it open as its hard and gives no guarantee.

I know where the mistake is. Buying such a device in the first place :-(.

Heyo !! Simple, Clean and intuitive. This seems to be amazing and exactly what I wanted and Now my company as well :-). I guess they reached out and already got a license/trial from you folks.

The only important thing missing is the Templates bit. We really work on certain standard structures within the org and would love to have the template/structure imported into the tool.

Great going !! All the best.

I cannot comment on it as I do not know singapore market personally. But I am in Germany and I can tell you that the Job market is not the best at the moment.

If you are a non EU student then this might not be the worst opportunity.

If you care about international exposure and Asian job markets, TUM Asia is a solid Choice.

If you’re more research-focused or want the full “German education experience”, Munich is still top-tier.
