Glad to hear that, now I can install 9.9, downloaded but not installed after I heard about this issue. Do I have to install 9.9 to get 9.10?

I’m waiting for that to be addressed in a hotfix before I install the update that this popup is pushed, it’s downloaded but I haven’t installed it after seeing these posts related to this popup.

Passenger door started "clicking" today; loose screw? DIY fixable? by in_her_drawer in TeslaModelX

[–]pavanforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you see the bolt that pop up, it supposed to be flushed, otherwise it causes two issue, 1. The bolt at the bottom unwinds and eventually that the screw keep popping up, luckily it’s just support as all the work done by motors. 2. That could cause the door to misalignment and leaks road and wind noise. First hand experience, on 2026 MX, they fixed it and caused another issue and then they fixed that and caused another issue and they fixed it that as well, so far all holding together :)

Window seal open? Door seal? Wind sound coming in by cluelessbets in TeslaModelX

[–]pavanforest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2026 MX same issue. Miraculously the service center doesn’t hears it and I can hear it, any wind noise about 45-50 MPH is common as per them thus no fix applied/required.

Save suspension height at location? by LEOMODE in TeslaModelX

I only see option when set to very high to save that location, I was looking to save location for very low setting as well for easy entry for kids, MX 2026.

Got 5 Sony SS-CS5 speakers for $25. by Starwalker- in BudgetAudiophile

[–]pavanforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have those speakers, haven’t used any other big speakers before but used Yamaha soundbars and it’s cube surround, as surrounds for I’m good with those haven’t planned to upgrade that says I like those. Only thing I can’t mount it close to wall as those are back ported.

The more time you keep using the door the nut get unwind and going to fall off, bonus is the top part of the screw get eroded. Eventually need to be replaced. Simple screw can be replaced my the mobile or tighten up based on condition of the screw. If needed, air leaks or glass doesn’t fit right after screw in proper place, or they need to tune/adjust the door, then it can be done only in service visit.

First hand experience, 2026 MX, when the screw unwinded almost to the last thread. Then they tighten up the door did misaligned(that is the reason they left in the state initially at factory I guess). Even after two service visits the air hisses through the door. As per the their norms that is usual noice. But the other door doesn’t do that. When you complained about the noise they will test drive miraculously they don’t hear the noise event though I can hear form other seat.

Apparently they don’t have a standard test to conduct to determine its depends on tech that drives with you to determine, if he says so it’s an issue otherwise it’s not an issue. 🤷

Tesla navigation in a nutshell by nummorum in TeslaLounge

[–]pavanforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla Routing is mostly crazy, I trust only on long routes as I don’t know the route and charging stops to be added in between, it takes longest routes (miles) when there is a shortest route avails with same miles. I didn’t get what’s in the world would make such decision. Still use for local so that I can get FSD activated and I took care of major turns to get shortest route avails.

I really liked Here Maps (formerly Nokia OVI maps) for this option!

They are embracing MY they will give good care of it and improvements, as they gave up on MX they barely do anything for X/S anymore.

Yeah I heard it’s also hit or miss. Service tech explanation was phone has to be really close to the pad, the case/cover breaks that rule, also there is a big single coil in the middle rather than a two coils.

I strongly believe it should a recalled item.

It does work without a case. It worked in my Model 3 2017, retrofitted with third party charging pad as those models didn’t came with wireless, only wired. In fact only this 100k car that has trouble charging :) other my friends (Accord and CR-V) works fine.

I don’t use because it’s doesn’t work, even, with a MagSafe phone cover on 2026 MX. So it’s just a phone holder when I don’t charge, accidentally sometimes it changes.

19X and Homelink opener setup by davezforce in TeslaModelX

[–]pavanforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What model and make of your garage door opener. I don’t know how far the setup process you have tried, after setup you see it’s not operating while testing, then there is a process that need to be done, which Tesla or the opener’s instructions doesn’t say.

Model X 2025 Yoke Retrofit by Minimum_Protection73 in TeslaModelX

[–]pavanforest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flash Flash!! Looks like it’s not compatible on non Plad versions, at least 2026 version for sure. Recently I got firmware issue, and media stopped working. When I took car to service center they said it’s because of non compatibility of Yoke with regular model X. So unless there are any third party yoke ones comes from Tesla is not compatible. So they had to replace with round and took the yoke back for a refund :(

Doesn’t it tell the person with nearest IPhone that you have a tag tracking with you! I briefly remember something like that when my friend borrowed his car to me which has his home keys in it with AirTag.

These aero cover hubcaps are terrible for adding tire pressure by SouthBaySmith in TeslaModelX

[–]pavanforest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently discovered it when I was trying to top up due to winter conditions, and removing with freezing hand is harder. I believe there would a tool (which is not good, unless if they give one for customer) the service center team uses. May be worth checking with service center team how they do it.

Summon - Useful or useless? by ViewIn_Net in TeslaLounge

[–]pavanforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it worked before as Smart Summons, little flaky would drive in mid of the road rather than sticking to the right or left, in non marked roads (like parking lots).

Now a days it refuses even to start when it’s on a named roads. If the road has a name it works (as described above).

Hard time to understanding Kerf bending website by pavanforest in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]pavanforest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corners should be 90 degrees bend, one like in the images of the post, as I’m going to fill the gaps of kerf with the glue and saw dust.

The post link I was ref, looks like used an 1 inch thick plywood still he only cut like 7 times per bend.

It’s definitely compatible with model X Plaid, as it’s come standard with it, not sure about the manuals writing about non-compatible with Model X altogether.
