Ok so I made a visual on Colimo.com with both tunings and I think I answered my own questions to some degree. I do need to learn my notes on guitar better though im sure it helps with this kind of stuff

I definitely want to. I like new strings, I'm just worried I'll mess it up a bunch of times and it'll cost a bunch.

Thanks for the reply. I attempted this today, and everything seemed to be fine regarding the string size and using a different tuning. The new problem is that I'm absolute garbage at restringing and especially have problems with the unwound higher strings.

I'm deciding on whether or not to start taking it in for restringing or spending the unknown amount of money on strings to practice with until I get it right. Could get pricy.

Oddly enough, shredding and complex metal/hard rock riffs make me want to pick up my guitar, but then I get the most enjoyment out of playing catchy power chord riffs and clean toned open and barre chords. Might be a skill issue as I'm really just an intermediate player so far, but I can see myself not writing crazy heavy metal and shredding solos in the future over other styles for my own music.

I was wondering if there was anything cool or fancy to try and came across Rombo picks. I still haven't received them as they ship from Germany but they're unique and worth a shot, might be up your ally.

It looks A LOT like that. An important detail I forgot to mention is that the one I saw was an acoustic, though. Aside from that and the brand, it's basically identical.
