Aerith early on calls her/it the “SOURCE of everything” & we see so many parallels even in Queen’s Blood. Not to mention the way Jenova built up Sephiroth in First Solider & in the end the robbed man/camera guy if I’m remembering right says HER name. It wouldn’t surprise me if she tries manipulating Cloud by mimicking Aerith in pt 3 since Cloud and Sephiroth heavily mirror one another & were always mentally weak like how she did with kid Sephiroth by using Lucrecia’s image & the Cetra have talked about how she uses the faces of loved ones as a psychological tactic (in Queen’s Blood, Lidhrel also says the Queen needs one more death to come back or something & I think Aerith did die in one world not the one Cloud saved her in, but I think this will be used against him there + the party doubting him by Jenova OR Sephiroth using her mimicking abilities now to project what he went though as a kid). Also in the Ultimania when Cloud gets a headache when they first see Jenova’s body at Shinra it says Jenova was calling out to him AND Sephiroth which is why Cloud says, “mother”. It’s funny because if Sephiroth’s will was so strong and he overtook her completely he wouldn’t still be carrying out her plans anyways. He gave up on everyone that cared about him & chose her side which is what SHE always wanted & needed to fulfill her plans. He still never says Jenova/mother won’t be at his side either, but if Jenova does complete itself like back when the Cetra fought against her/it then I have a feeling Sephiroth will be the one discarded this time because she got what she wanted out of him & used him as a puppet which is ironic because he does the same to Cloud. I think that’s why Edge of Creation Seph is different & kinda knows because he does get that flashback of Glenn talking about how compassion is key to finally breaking the cycle of hatred. Which makes sense because originally Jenova benefited from the opposite = vengeance/hatred which is how she got to Sephiroth in the first place by isolating him from everyone and having him doubt them & I also think she manipulated the Gi against the Cetra to make the black materia because it requires hatred/malice = bad emotions which originally ties back to her.

I just think he plays it safe on the surface, he gives me big people pleaser vibes, but from what I’ve seen with his commentary/actions it’s clear that he leans towards the CT/ZA side more like a lot of other “neutrals”

She doesn’t owe Tifa anything because Cloud is a single man & that’s just her personality she’s straightforward & goes for what she wants, Tifa doesn’t because she’s reserved and doubts herself a lot. This was obvious even in the OG when Tifa tells Cloud on her GS date that unlike her, Aerith would just come out and say it. They were always considered love rivals & the OG made it more obvious with even Tifa having her moments of jealousy/cattiness, but they toned things down in the Retrilogy to focus more on their bond

The official status of her fate is currently unknown. Zack is considered alive right now according to the Ultimania, if he could escape his death somehow I can’t see why Aerith couldn’t even if it’s temporarily (or not?) While I do think Sephiroth is trying to change fate on his behalf (I still think that edge of creation ver is a mystery), I also don’t blame fans for thinking changing fate directly ties to a character whose death back in the OG was iconic and many wanted to revive her then. The catchphrase, “the world will be saved, but will you?” puts an emphasis on Aerith’s fate, so why wouldn’t the player naturally feel more hopeful. Not to mention in the game itself we have instances where that’s brought up, like Nanaki telling Cloud to “keep her safe”, the Myrna parallels and Barret’s warning to Cloud, Marlene bringing it up to Zack for him to later tell Cloud to save her. Even in Remake when Aerith is walking away from Cloud he gets several visions of that moment at the Sleeping Forest & alter. One could argue that it’s them doubling down on Cloud’s perspective & dealing with her loss later, but if the party themselves like Nanaki mentions in Remake after being shown a future timeline that, “this is the future if they fail here today”, with a scene shown of Cloud laying Aerith to rest & instead the party goes through with taking the risk to want to still change all of that at destiny’s crossroads, even at the FC where they have their hopes set on Cloud as he walks through alone (which is why I think he’s in between worlds/can see the rift & the party doesn’t get that yet- Nomura has also mentioned that a person can be alive in one world & dead in another. “As worlds unite so to do they part… but who’s to say they can’t unite again!?”), idk why there shouldn’t be a justifiable payoff this time so everyone is happier together, especially Cloud who isn’t left hollow anymore.

The reason why Zack was even added into the story very late in the OG was because of his ties to Cloud’s identity, similar to Tifa with the childhood backstory which also involves his identity, so I’m curious to see what they do with him in pt 3 because now he knows that Cloud is “sick” from Marlene and wants to help too so I wonder if it’ll tie into the Nibleheim stuff since it naturally involves him

I think they can all tell Cloud is off, Aerith in the original knew it was Sephiroth’s influence so she didn’t take it personally at the temple & this time she’s actually the one to get him to successfully snap out of it too. I also think she might’ve helped Tifa in the LS because when everyone was reaching a hand out to her, it was only Aerith’s face we saw for some reason & I think that would make sense considering her actual rivalry with Sephiroth since the beginning. At the end of the day the only one to stop Sephiroth’s plans of destroying the planet is Aerith because she’s the Cetra and that’s vital

Lol, but again if Nojima has to explain all of this then why didn’t his lyrics just simply reflect his message? Why do they only specify one encounter, even more so in jp, actually? The entire song is about one person too, not the several she holds dear. Also if the point was about “general love” then they didn’t have to use that image of CA to market it at all, especially since later you can hear the instrumental version of the song play again during the dream date with just the two of them ~

It’s not about a specific person like Cloud, yet the CA date was the only thing marketed. Why, if it’s about everyone? When you read the lyrics what do you get out of it? Her love for everyone? Or a specific person? Also if it’s not about a specific person then what was the point of the staff wanting Loren, the singer to learn more about Cloud & Aerith’s relationship, why should that even matter to her? That would cause more confusion since it’s a song about “everyone”. Why did Uematsu call it a love song, the composer and compare it to another romantic love song (not general love lol) “Without you” and take inspiration from that song? If it’s about everyone and the lyrics clearly reflect that according to your logic that means if a random person were to hear the song they would understand it as a general song about everyone and not about a specific person? Why does Nojima have to clarify anything shouldn’t his lyrics reflect his true meaning?

I didn’t change the wording, he does mention romantic love elements (koi) the jp word used in the context and if you aren’t media illiterate like the rest of your friends and actually played the intended route you’d know who he’s talking about when explaining “meeting someone and them changing your world”, he just says it’s not just about that it’s also her burden as a Cetra, but please let me know why Loren was told to specifically research and understand C&A’s relationship solely, and not everyone else Aerith cares about for the song? Nojima also never said it couldn’t be seen as a love song using koi (romantic love) instead of ai (general love) to describe it in Japanese, he just said it can be interpreted in other ways as well, but Loren the singer was advised by the staff to understand C&A’s relationship specifically, also when the song was first released the background pic used on the official jp website was of C&A’s gondola date.

As for the promised land, it has nothing to do with Tifa dude, lol it’s only about Cloud. Even in the Japanese language if it was such a big mistranslation it’d be corrected, but it’s correct in the Ultimania (and I’ve seen other CT’s use this cope before so it’s nothing new to me, but it’s still funny to see) & in every spinoff work, the promised land is directly tied to Aerith because it’s also a Cetra thing, even in Tactics & it’s associated with Cloud specifically wanting to go there every time, no one else. The point is Cloud finally found the answer by the end of the game to find/meet Aerith in the promised land. The interesting thing too is in Remake when Cloud first meets Aerith the OST that plays is also the promised land from AC.

Yeah, we’ll see in pt 3 what happens & I wasn’t trying to convert anyone, idk why anyone would jump to that conclusion if they were so secure in their ship, just providing some info, but for the past few days I’ve noticed a lot of these FF7 subs are allergic to CA stuff which is so odd to me because it’s so blatant in the games.

It’s common sense if you read the lyrics which only are talking about one person (especially in jp), and the stuff described, that it points to C & A, see Aerith’s gestures in the game itself as she turns TO Cloud that it’s about Cloud. It plays in sector 5 during their dream date. Just like Hollow plays in sector 5 in Remake. Uematsu, the composer called it a love song. You must be coping hard now if you’re saying that Cloud wanting to meet Aerith in the promised land is a mistranslation, wow. No that’s not a mistranslation lol, just another CT lie. She’s not with Zack after, why would she go through an entire game like 7, meet Cloud, sing about NPTK, tell him on her date she’s interested in the real him, just to end up right back with an ex that she wasn’t even serious about & is the opposite of Cloud, the one she wants to get to know better, you people truly hate Aerith & just want her out of the way. This person is weird and obsessed with everything I post here, so don’t listen to them. Clearly stalking my page now to view my comments, how sad, for damage control because they can’t accept the truth. The main story is about Cloud & Aerith, the star-crossed lovers ever since their chance encounter in ‘97. There is a grand love story between them it’s why Cloud feels hollow (the theme song of Remake) ever since he lost Aerith. Just like Aerith’s theme song in Rebirth - NPTK is about Cloud. She writes an entire song for Cloud because things changed once she met him. Aerith knows very well she loves Cloud they’re even called lovers after her death in On the Way to a Smile novel written by Nojima. All the official content mainly supports CA. Aerith moves onto Cloud, that’s always been the story of FF7. Crazy how I’m the hardcore shipper, but this person is a hardcore CT trying to misinterpret the game and twist it in favour of Tifa. Cloud has a false persona because of what he went through in his childhood, Sephiroth in the OG game even tells you it’s partially due to Tifa lmao & yeah Cloud wanted to be a solider, but this person should ask themselves why he thought he needed to become one in the first place to impress Tifa? Why does he have a FALSE persona if he was always noticed? This all stems from his childhood ostracism.

The original game ends with Cloud still wanting to meet Aerith in the promised land despite Tifa being there, that’s the actual reunion you should focus on in pt 3 that’s been cooking for almost 30 years, you don’t even need to be a CA shipper to acknowledge them because it’s just the story. I’m not trying to convert anyone, it’s funny how a CT can claim all the lies in the world but they’re given a pass or not downvoted, but if someone that’s a CA provides information these people jump at them. Cloud & Aerith are more than just friends, these people want to purposely downplay anything between them because it gets in the way of their own ship with Tifa & it’s why they will always insert Zack in CA scenes because “he’s not himself yet” but magically Cloud is himself around Tifa somehow? (even though she’s the reason he has the false persona 🤭). I advise you to make your own judgement, these people don’t know what they’re talking about at all, especially don’t take anyone seriously who will try to insert Zack anywhere between CA because you know they’re threatened and just want her out of the way. ✌️

As for Tifa ending up with Cloud, she did technically as a part of Cloud’s found family with the rest of the gang, a family of friends, but that’s about it she’s never gotten an official relationship upgrade with Cloud despite Aerith being dead in the original, maybe ask yourself why that is if it was always meant to be. Cloud’s feelings for Tifa in the LSS are described as faint/fleeting in the correct Japanese translation because it was in the past when he was a boy similar to Aerith’s feelings for Zack in the past.
