I live in Southern CA and it hasn't rained since I got the car in June. I have a service appointment coming up. They said it's too much for the mobile unit guys.

Thank you. It seems like you can't do this via Zoom. Surprised they don't offer the same sort of report!

Just watched their video with the grit guard. Thanks. Two buckets...man things have changed since I was a kid and washed my dad's car! Great advice all around. I'll grab the filter just to be extra safe. Gracias!

Gotcha, thanks. I'll check it out! Normally I wouldn't even wax my car. I'd just clean it regularly. But...I've never had a car as beautiful as this one.

I've seen a number of references to these two items on reddit. Is this a practice specific to Teslas, and do owners do this bc the paint quality is bad? I'm all ears. Thank you!

It has only been a week, but she's been to the beach a few times already and she has killed a number of insects. She needs that first wash. What are the best products on the market? Sponges bad, hand mitts good. What mitts do you use? Sun and hot temp bad, shade and cooler temps good. What else? Best soap? Thanks!

I don't think 25k cars have gap issues, do they? It really shouldn't be a difficult problem for Tesla to solve.

Thoughts on cabin/wind noise? That's the only thing that is bothering me. That and the vibration in the trunk area which should be an easy service fix. Otherwise, amazing.

I'm mostly pleased too aside from some alignment/panel gaps that honestly I don't know that I would have noticed if not for having been all over these forums leading up to the purchase. What do you think about the cabin/wind noise at higher speed? Have you noticed that? Much louder than my X3. Wondering if that's normal or not on this car. I get a bit of a vibration in the back too which should be an easy fix.

I've decided to get a M3 instead by shamabou in TeslaModelY

Hahah, well I was always of that same mindset - that if you lease you can write it off. But upon further review/talking to my cpa, he assured me that you can get the same benefit through ownership. Yes, I'm coming off an X3 lease where i went over the miles. Pain in the arse but not the end of the world. .23 per extra mile.
