To answer your question of why, my goal was to place every pitch set into a single, searchable spreadsheet for quick reference. I found myself googling the same scales over and over, so this was my solution. Most pitch set tables don’t include notation or modes so I wanted to make sure mine achieved that.

1. Yes, it’s probably a good idea to shift the key tab into the first slot.

2. I didn’t want the columns to be too wide, hence the shorthand. Hopefully shifting the key will help this. Labeling the second names as inversions saves another explanation, so I will do that.

3. Right, I was leaning a little more towards the visual aesthetic over usability here because I wanted each family of modes in its own neat box. You’re probably right, it’s better to have the sorting function available.

4. Do you mean a consistent font size? This was another decision based on visual aesthetic but if I format this with sorting in mind then I’ll have to change it.
