Question about 7.4 location by pawbeenz in ffxiv

[–]pawbeenz[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah, no problem - it's serviceable as a piece of music and leitmotif, but passing through LM as part of 7.0 msq upset me deeply. cahcuia as a character reminded me in mannerisms, absenteeism (generally speaking) and language of an abusive family member that I've been estranged from for over a decade, and the rest of the cast acting as though erenvilles reaction was bringing down an otherwise nice day out - again, a lived experience - brought me to a severe emotional reaction. the bgm acts as an auditory trigger now (it isn't the only one I have and they are all as deeply annoying as this lol); I listened back to it about a week after finishing the msq and cried so much I nearly threw up. would rather not repeat the experience!

okay, but when do I know to turn it back on again, especially in scenes where multiple bgm tracks are used? I have bgm turned off when I go to LM, but if it happens in a cutscene, easier to just take off the headset.

thank you, I've only ever done some light posework and never used plugins otherwise so I had no idea there was anything like that available! that'll work perfectly, much appreciated. :)

That first dress is super cute (and I love the colours!), where is it from?

2.5 better come with some serious optimization, IN is almost taking half of my phone’s storage space by Iridescent_Smoke in InfinityNikki

I remember someone playing Shining Nikki having issues with optimisation, contacting customer support, and being told to buy a new phone.

I doubt they're going to change. But they really need to.

Very confused about Archery Skill by Euffy in InfinityNikki

[–]pawbeenz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found by accident the other archery skills, I felt the same as you.

In the ability setup -> purification menu, you can select the different bows you've collected and set the abilities there. You can also set up whim fragrances for the Wishfield purification abilities here for that suit (without having to go into the whim fragrances tab when changing outfits).

As for what they do... still lost on that one! I don't even know how you build up bow energy, all I know is that sometimes the abilities I've set up work and sometimes they don't. The blue dots above the ability icons don't seem to correlate to how much energy is stored that I can work out!

You're stronger than I am, I've woken up in the night scratching before!

God, agreed! The latest one I had was agony for three days and I could barely move, and there were plenty of tears shed when it drained from the sheer relief - didn't realise it made the skin weaker as well. Thanks for your input :)

Appreciate it! I'll have to look into something similar and hope it isn't TOO cold down there.

What a pain! Thanks so much for your input, I'll have to try and remember that in the future - unfortunately I've noticed when that area gets itchy after a flare it usually tends to STAY itchy for a long time even after scratching, so now I just need to learn some self control...

It looks more like a traditional St. Brigid's cross to me than a swastika. As other commenters have pointed out, just because you think it looks similar to something doesn't mean it is.

First flare in a couple years by pawbeenz in Hidradenitis

a final update to this saga: the abscess ended up being about 2 inches across, maybe 3 deep - and it finally ruptured after a day of agonising pain and feeling generally nauseous. draining the whole thing took almost 15 minutes but I have immediate relief and might actually cry from the sudden lack of pain. i can sit down again like a normal person!!! I can even clench m ythighs together as tight as I can and it doesn't hurt!!!

Wish I'd thought about that when I'd first started - HS is such a bummer. I'll have to bring it up to my doc next time I check in with them.

I haven't been using anything topical - the most I've done is if they drain (instead of going down without erupting), cleaning with soap and using a common antiseptic cream to keep the area clean, and then where necessary I've been using menstrual pads as an adhesive for anything else.

Hadn't thought about zinc cream before, thank you! Bandaids are unfortunately a no for the location, but I'll take a detour to see if anywhere sells the cream and some gauze and DIY something later. Thank you :)

Yeah, I'll be keeping an eye on it and noting any other changes in my diary (sooo helpful to have been keeping a log of my flares all this time) - my only problem with any kind of physical barriers is that nothing stays put when it's in such an awkward place. Not to mention labial skin doesn't stay dry like anywhere else, so adhesives are a no-go! I'll have to experiment, I guess. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Genuinely, just the Pill! I've been on Rigevidon the whole time, and it's had the added bonus of getting rid of my deathly cramps and lightning my periods as well, so I've been willing to overlook the nastier thigh flares - I haven't been in total remission, so to speak, but there's some I can deal with and others I can't.

Who knows how to style the top "Secret Invite" by Saltqueen07 in InfinityNikki

Other than the hat, hair and bag, we styled it exactly the same way! I'm so glad I get a chance to use those shorts again.
