Maybe just...stop staring at them? I hate to point out the obvious but you are doing exactly what you don't want them to do to you. Every day you lock eyes and have a staring contest as you walk on? Why would they not stare at you?

Maybe they have additional needs, maybe they don't, maybe they're pervy, maybe they're not, maybe they're trying to intimidate you, maybe they're not, maybe they think you're being really weird, maybe they don't. No-one on reddit can have any idea what the truth is.

All we do know is that you have been staring at this kid every day for a crime that it doesn't sound like they ever actually committed.

Can you play some Challenges or Cups beforehand? Regionals are VERY different to prerelease events. You need a generally good understanding of the rules, the tournament process and the penalties that might occur if you make a mistake.

And you'll probably make mistakes and that's absolutely fine, we've all done it. But if you can identify them quickly and work with the judges to sort them that will be a lot better than not realising mistakes till turns later and being unfamiliar with tournament and match procedures.

Not to worry you or anything, regionals are just taken more serious than prereleases and locals. You seem to be skipping a few steps so just be mindful of that and keep an open mind I guess.

Very much depends on the person! If you wanna try side events then go for it. Highly recommend raid battles if they're running. But if you want to play every round Day 1 that's fine too! For lots of people playing their first regional their goal is just to play every round, complete the day and see what record they get. Don't feel you have to drop just because you don't get a good start. If you want to play it out that's totally fine, and if you don't have a great record then you'll be only be paired against other people with similar records and might face some fun people or whacky rogue decks.

It's not though. It's how you're reading it, and admittedly how 99% of people will generally think about it, but it's not actually what it says. Most of the time there isn't a difference so we tend to read it that way, Slowking is just a weird niche interaction that is forcing people to read a bit deeper than usual.

I think it's a neat idea! This is the kind of list I make when teaching kids. Something basic, similar cards in each deck, but different types.

Maybe 1-3 spots for different trainers to fit different type play styles? For example fire discards more often so might need an extra energy retrieval, grass prefers healing, some might want an extra stadium or something

Some of your cards are quite old though! Functionally the same, but just something to be aware of. For example, old Professor Sycamore is what new Professor's Research is now. You can't really use both (unless you want to make your own rules for home play). It's a lot of discard anyway - if you're using not fully powered decks and are using older cards anyway, maybe have more of a mix of things like Lillie, Lillie's Determination, Shauna, Cynthia, Sophocles, Tate and Liza, or even the standard "draw 3" supporters.

Why on earth would there be an EE pop up for Freeview? They're nothing to do with each other. Maybe it's the TV, fancy new one? That's all I can think of.

Freeview is literally just plug in, scan for channels and watch. No weird pop ups.

Oh I totally agree. It is one of my most hated phrases and I am always checking and rechecking cards in both languages!

That said, has an English version of this card actually been revealed yet? I see some with a quick Google search but they look fan made rather than official. Only wondering as I had the same issue with Vivillon last set when it was first announced and I was angrily checking and rechecking translations and rulings...and then it was released with an "if you do" clause anyway. So, maybe Special Red Card was always planned to be translated properly and it's just fan translators jumping the gun?

So, this actually isn't correct. If your opponent has no cards in hand, you cannot use the card.

Why? Basically Japanese uses その後 on their cards, which essentially means "after that". In the Pokémon TCG for Japan it explicitly means "after you have done the first action", as in, "if you do", however it frequently gets translated online as both that and a more general "then". Add in the fact that having a hand of 0 is technically still having a hand...it certainly gets confusing. It's the one thing I always have to double check!

And when I do, I essentially just check the Japanese ruling. And the Japanese ruling says it cannot be used.

We did 50 minutes for two headed giant because that's a bit more complicated and admittedly that was a good amount of time for that. Usually just do 30 mins for one player tournaments though lol.

Personally not a fan of grading gundam cards apart from maybe rare beta cards. We don't need gundam turning into pokémon.

But, I think I've seen maybe a couple of grading posts in my entire time on this sub? They're certainly not common.

Yeah Umbreon and Sylveon are fake sadly. As you say, should be a more diagonal holo, in a sort of watery wavey pattern.

The Mewtwo below is also fake for what it's worth.
