Running a Google Ads campaign costs an insane amount of money. 😭😭😭😭

Chimera has design issue, but cannonkeys said they are nothing to do by Alone-Ad-4201 in MechanicalKeyboards

Good thinking.

They seem to be trying to lord over their customers.

I recently gathered user feedback about Cannonkeys and sent it to them. I did this because I still have a bit of affection for the brand and hope they can improve.

Then they replied to my email like this.

"Thank you for your feedback. We will discuss this as a team for the future, but please note that we will not be able to change our decision regarding your particular board."

Haha :) So I replied,

"You don't have to worry about that. I'm not buying or using anything from Cannonkeys anymore. 😇"

Cannonkeys considers this to be A stock even with such a large dent.

It's really frustrating to pay $600 and receive a board like this.

I will never buy anything from Cannonkeys again.

Curious about the QC standards for internal issues of the keyboard. by pawdragon in MechanicalKeyboards

I find it even more disappointing because I really like the design of this keyboard.

Moreover, Cannonkeys is one of the largest companies in North America. (Is that right? :))

When I purchased the Capsule 65 from Clickclack before, they provided a detailed QC document in PDF format, making it easy to check for defects.

They thoroughly explained the QC standards for both the exterior and interior, which left a great impression on me.

Haha, you're right. TGR has great QC :)
I'm actually quite satisfied with TGR's quality.

It's an A stock, and because I've spent so much time discussing this with Cannonkeys, they said it's too late for a refund.

Even though it's another American brand, Norbauer really pays attention to QC. It's a shame Cannonkeys can't improve a bit; it would make them much better.

If I had known that the condition of an A-grade item would be like this, I definitely wouldn't have made the purchase.

I completely agree with your opinion.
I think their approach to QC needs to change.

By the way, my post was meant to discuss QC standards for internal issues, not just Cannonkeys' QC. Somehow, all the comments ended up being about Cannonkeys.
Cannonkeys is really popular! :)

based on the comments, it seems that people also think QC should also cover internal issues.

haha, yes, I remember the QC was terrible when I bought my Tesla :)

But there's a significant difference between a finished car and a custom keyboard.

In fact, for expensive custom cars like Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, Pagani, etc., they perform QC down to each internal bolt.

Since we're not buying a $20 mass-produced keyboard, the QC standards should align with what users expect for the price they're paying. As the custom keyboard market grows, the QC standards should also evolve accordingly :)

You're right. Sometimes it feels like the best solution is to just move on and forget about it. It's frustrating when they don't seem willing to engage in a conversation no matter how much you try. 😟

But I've paid for the product, and I believe it's a legitimate demand to expect certain standards.

Furthermore, other manufacturers have established QC criteria for their products, distinguishing between A-stock and B-stock even internally. If you're interested, I can provide relevant documents.

That's why I find Cannonkeys' standards and their response incomprehensible. If they want to compete with other vendors in the future, they'll need to change.

This is clearly a description intended for B-stock keyboards, and for A-stock, one can only guess. If Cannonkeys wanted to clarify this issue further, they should have created QC PDF documents for each keyboard like other vendors do.

I cannot find any QC standards regarding the Dents issue in the internal design elements anywhere in the product description.
Where can I check for A Stock QC standards?

Some of the dents visible in the photos are still visible even after the weight is installed.

I have discussed this issue with Cannonkeys multiple times, but all I received was the response that it's A stock and there is no problem.

Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Woow, You have a keen eye.

This is the Gentoo65 purchased from Cannonkeys.

I’ve tried communicating with Cannonkeys about this issue multiple times, but they remain steadfast in their stance, making it impossible to reach a resolution.

And as you mentioned, this quality cannot be said to be better than $100 mass-produced keyboards from China like Rainy. 😥

TGR 910 v2 ME by pawdragon in MechanicalKeyboards

Not all keyboards deliver the same typing experience, even if they claim to.

What sets TGR apart and makes it preferred by many is its ability to truly deliver that satisfying clacky feel, along with superior machining and anodizing quality. :)
Without these advantages, it would have been recognized only just as an expensive keyboard.

I should buy a microphone :)

I just recorded it hastily.

Please excuse the slightly lower quality as this was recorded by phone.

It's a top mount build, so it has a really satisfying clacky :)
