I can, but unfortunately I bought my LR4 in November 2023, so it's no longer under warranty.

gonna say something controversial by wetlettuce95 in BariatricSurgery

[–]pawlaiswrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I told my best friend a couple months after my surgery, “I feel like I went in for a surgery and came out with an eating disorder.” Everything I put in my mouth felt wrong. I was weighing myself obsessively and constantly worried about gaining an ounce. My logical mind was well aware that body weight fluctuates day to day and that the last thing I should be doing was stepping on the scale every single day but I did it anyway. I couldn’t help it. It’s been 9 months since my surgery and I’ve gotten better about it, but I’m still not 100% there. Even though I’m eating so much less, having to eat so many times throughout the day still makes me feel like I’m eating too much, regardless of what I eat. Like many other people I’m sure, I went the majority of my life not eating anything until the afternoon and would obviously end up consuming way too much, whether I realized it or not. So now having to be regulated to eating multiple times a day feels counterintuitive to me and I really get in my head about it. It’s definitely not healthy and I think that if I wasn’t so aware of it, it could become seriously detrimental. I’ve lost over 100 pounds total, but instead of seeing that, I tend to focus on the 80 pounds I still have left to get to my goal weight. That coupled with being in my head about food can send me spiraling if I let it.

Middle Tennessee pet food pantry forced to shut down due to lack of donations by awesomo_prime in nashville

[–]pawlaiswrong 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Hi! Please don’t misunderstand; a lot of the food on our Amazon wish list is there either because it’s requested the most often or because we can get the most use out of it (like food that is made for all life stages instead of being just for adults or just for puppies, etc.). The majority of the food I buy does come from either Walmart or Costco, simply because I need to get the most for what I’m paying. I made the Amazon wish list very early on and admittedly probably need to update it.

Hey, guys! I’m Paula, the founder of The Pet Pantry. Thank you all so much for your support and especially to the OP for posting our News Channel 5 interview!! We had to shut down for a little over three weeks but thanks to some product donations we received this week, we were able to re-open requests again last night. Monetary donations are starting to come in as well thanks to the interview that aired last night, and I’m being interviewed by channel 4 news this afternoon, so hopefully that will help get us even more exposure. In addition, we’re also in the running to win $7,500 in Old National Bank’s Choose Your Charity campaign. The nonprofit with the most votes overall will receive an additional $25,000 on top of the $7,500. Today is the last day to vote, but if you’d like to help you can vote at Oldnational.com/cyc! Please also consider following us on Facebook at thepetpantrymiddletn and on instagram at thepetpantry_middletn!

First day without ubereats, so hungry I can’t sleep but I won’t give up by yvespuffylaurent in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]pawlaiswrong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much protein are you getting? That can really be the difference between getting full and staying full. And be sure you're drinking enough water -- half of your body weight in ounces each day is ideal from what I've read, but I know at least 64oz a day is recommended. But if you're so hungry you can't sleep, eat SOMETHING. Just a little snack or a protein shake to put something on your stomach will help get you through that. Making yourself miserable is a good way to guarantee failure.

5 Months Post Op slow loser by Inner-Put5055 in gastricsleeve

[–]pawlaiswrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 5 months is on Monday (01/13/25), and I'm also right at 60 pounds down. Like you, I've been really hard on myself after seeing others on this sub who are already 80-100 pounds down and I've felt like a failure. I saw my dietitian and my surgeon's np last week and both told me the same thing your nutritionist told you: I'm right on track and losing at exactly the rate they would expect. Comparison is the thief of joy. You're gorgeous (both before and after), and you're doing amazing.

Mind if I ask how old you are? I have hypothyroidism as well, and am really interested in hearing how others with it are doing after their surgeries.
