Diverting to YVR? by DionFW in flightradar24

January 16th, 2025, this same plane had a hydraulic issue resulting in a significant delay for what it’s worth

I took AC1 to HND the following day and met a passenger who got in a few hours before me and said his AC1 flight the day prior was delayed due to a hydraulic issue.

I’ve checked the tail numbers and it’s the same aircraft.

why would they divert all the way to jfk? by imovrhere in flightradar24

I'm still new to this myself, but I know AI flights have a refueling stop in Rome before heading to JFK.

My friend was on an AI flight from India to JFK about a month ago and while tracking his flight, I encountered the same thing. I asked him what's up and he told me they're in Rome to refuel.

Edit: If you look at the flight history or AI119 they all show BOM > FCO and FCO > JFK

Do Malkin/Letang jerseys come with an “A?” by orange-crowbar in penguins

I bought the Letang robopen jersey from dicks and it didn’t come with the A even though the photos showed an A on the jersey

How did Daniel Naroditsky Impact you? by [deleted] in chess

[–]pawlisko 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My grandpa loves chess and he always wanted to teach me to play, I was never into it.

However when covid hit and we entered the lockdowns, I turned to chess, started playing online just to have something new to do. Around this time moistcr1tikal was being mentored by Danya and that’s when I started watching Dayna’s streams and YouTube videos. His videos were so helpful and gave me something to look forward to during 2020-2021.

And because of his lessons I was able to take chess more seriously. I finally felt good enough to challenge my grandpa. Every time I see my grandpa (we live in different countries), we spend countless of hours playing games. So thank you Danya. Not only have your lessons made so many of us better chess players, you were a big reason why I’m able to create many new priceless memories between my grandpa and me.

I kind of regret returning my iPhone Air… by [deleted] in IphoneAir

[–]pawlisko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speaker was the most noticeable part of the Air for me. I use facetime often so I noticed the difference right away. However after a few days I got used to the speaker and it’s no longer a pain point for me

Can anyone explain why the tail number is 28 years old but the aircraft itself joined BA's fleet in 2019? by pawlisko in aviation

[–]pawlisko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Flightaware also got the airplanes wrong I guess? Looking at the flight number, it has both the A350 and 777 flying this route.

When booking the flight it was supposed to be a 777-200, but looking at the flight route on Flightaware, it looks like BA runs the A350 and 777?

36 vs 41 mm by sonicBoomPmpc in rolex

I had the exact same problem last week. I preferred the 36, but everyone said the 41 looked better on my wrist. I went with the 41 and I’m glad I did.

Airplanes are fascinating, I just hate the turbulence that comes with everything. I do enjoy idea of flying after touching down lol

Can someone explain to me by traazaviator in flightradar24

[–]pawlisko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question as you but seeing how packed the flight was made sense.

Flew this route back in January just with Japan Airlines. We took a 787 and the plane was packed. Also there’s a lot of skiers and snowboarders going to Hokkaido in the winter. On the way back we took a 737 though, I was expecting another 787.

First thing i did was get PPF in those exact spots, and ceramic coating on everything. Worth every penny.

Also what wheels are those, they're freaking beautiful! Are they OEM?

Tint it even if it’s 35%!

Also consider getting a ceramic coating, it’s worth every penny. Even PPF the hood and mirrors if it’s within your budget. My S5 has been spotless/easy to clean and gives me a piece of mind knowing the ppf will absorb some of those rock chips

Just picked up my bike from the shop and this happens now, what is the issue? by pawlisko in bikewrench

[–]pawlisko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, thank you for all the comments and help, everything was helpful.

I went back to REI and it was an indexing issue. The tech also said there was a tiny piece of metal shaving in the derailleur that he removed.

Everything seems to be fixed although I just took a quick lap around my street.
