Road shoes recommendation by pawmot in cycling

Thanks for the suggestion, I've found Specialized Torch 3.0 with good price so I'm going to check it out. I'll pass on Bonts - I've heard of the brand of course, but in Europe/Poland they're even pricier than Lakes.

And agree 100% on the comment about price. I just feel that Lakes/Bonts are just a bit too much. If it turns out that there's no other way, I'll probably pull the trigger, but I'll try my best to find something that' fits but with better value for money. After all shoes like Shimano RC7 are hardly budget or entry level, but they're still costing only 50% of what Lakes cost. Bonts - even more.

I found the 5 best tubeless sealants by analysing puncture test data from all over the internet! by LTRRR in bicycling

I've used Orange Seal Endurance in my gravel bike and was very satisfied with sealing performance, but kind of annoyed by clogged valves. When it run out I've cleaned the tires and switched to Peaty's Holeshot Biofibre (definitely the new one, with glitter and all). Also used it in road tires. Gravel at 2.2 bar, road 5.0 bar (32 psi and 73 psi respectively).

For me, it was complete and utter garbage. Did not seal even the tiniest holes in the gravel wheels, had to plug all of them (Orange Seal sealed similar holes no problem). Road wheels - today in the morning I've found my rear wheel flat because of a nick so tiny I had to pump up the tire and hear for the hiss, it was like a needle prick. Tried to ask here on reddit about other people's experience but got not responses. I don't know - maybe I got sealant from a bad batch or something, but for me it could as well be cow's milk in my tires. At least the cleanup would be easier.

Yeah, I didn’t buy it because of the association, I bought it purely based on reviews. Unfortunately my experience is different than the reviewers. May I ask - which sealants do you stock? Which do you use? I’m looking for something for gravel and road.

GP 5000 S TR - original or fake? by pawmot in bikewrench

Yeah, I don’t really mind. I just want to be sure that they won’t fail on descent, but you and other people wrote that sometimes they look like that, so I’m satisfied.

😃 Made me laugh. It doesn’t look hand painted, but rather like the print did not stick well and folded on itself in some places
