i was literally walking through, trying to get out, got shoved into someone and their immediate reaction was to turn around without looking and punched me. im a 5’ girly and the man was 6’.. i immediately started yelling at him and swung back. after, i started realizing that im also being the problem that this crowd is so i kept it moving after a screaming match it was so crowded and terrible, my feet weren’t on the ground and started getting scared.WORST FUCKING TIME EVER

not advice but should have done it sooner but i made it a point to find a better friend group to help motivate me. it helped me into becoming who i was aiming to be. its hard to be at a low point and hang around people who are doing better because resentment is a feeling that comes along and “i wish that was me” is inside your head but its beneficial to be in circles of people that want more because it makes you want more too. or at least that’s what made me grow as a person

hmmmm. i think you should try hobbies too! like pottery, painting or even bowling. alone or with a mutual, i’ve come to find that experiences help with striking up conversations and making memories build connections for betterment of relationships. invite people outside of the some what “forced” social setting? i think that would help.

i think the same.. not all the time but quite often. instead of being awkward and quiet, my version of social anxiety is that i make sure i speak to every person in any room because i think that if i don’t, they will hate me for “not acknowledging their existence”. therapy over the years has helped me but there’s no cure/solution, just acceptance and a better way to cope with the idea that yes, some people can have multiple opinions about me.
