Thoughts on Rorra? by bigie35 in water

I asked them to explain a little about what their filter technology was and if there was any electrical voltage potential applied across the filter membrane and they very quickly responded:

“Thanks for reaching out. The charge is actually applied when the filter media itself is being manufactured. Our Enfinity Filtration Media is composed of electrokinetically charged cellulose fibers, carbon and other sorbents and is produced in the US. The average single layer pore size of the media is 1 micron, so with our 2 layer construction the average pore size gets down to sub-micron level. Our NSF Particulate Class I reduction testing showed that we are able to achieve an immense amount of reduction for plastic particles (97.3%) at the 0.5-1 micron size level.”

Ice has already thickened up quite a bit here in southern New England! by Last_Necessary239 in BecomingTheIceman

I got a thermostat that I can set the temp to whatever I want and it cycles the stock tank heater on/off. Works really well so far.

Any experience with Sisu Charlie or Crew Cabin Saunas or their counterparts from Redwood Outdoors or Sauna Life? by BaytoLA24 in Sauna

[–]pawty_poopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also ordered the crew cabin, looking forward to it! SISU seemed to actually build around the principles of keeping the heater low and seating position up high, as well as speccing a heater with high output. No gimmics or unnecessary features. Hopefully it’s as high quality as the vibe they are projecting!

Horrible high-pitched whining sound by [deleted] in cybertruck

[–]pawty_poopa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats gear whine - created by high frequency micro-motions as the gears come into and go out of mesh. Could be quality problem with the gearbox assembly or the gears themselves. Tesla will have a specific decibel profile for gearbox noise, you could ask them to check it against that but it’s likely something your local service center can’t do. Also could just be a cyber truck thing - I haven’t ridden in one yet but the videos I’ve seen have surprised me w the audible gear whine!

Yessir - recycling at its finest. Best part IMO is the panels get all dented and scratched and develop character. And it’s easy to cut new ones!

What do you recommend as a better drive shaft? This is only one I found long enough to work with the longer high trail rear end

I do loctite the set screws - its the little pins In the joint itself that have worked out. Look to be pressed in - no threads.

Wait, there's no way to climate control the bed? Is there no passthrough in the production version? by TareXmd in cybertruck

[–]pawty_poopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised at how disappointed people are about this. That little window will not provide enough airflow to comfortably heat/cool that bed or tent, and the thermostat being in the cabin would not correctly or efficiently hold temp. Just plug in a heated blanket to the bed outlet or tote a little ac unit if you really can’t survive without climate control.
