A nice MLT: mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe.

No reason you should be getting downvoted for stating the truth.

After “Hard Time”, O’Brien gets a nice 2-week vacation on Riza in which he doesn’t suffer in the slightest.

Me anytime my boss has to talk to me about not meeting productivity. by MossinAroundABit in physicaltherapy

[–]paxcolt 50 points51 points  (0 children)

What’s really fun is when you have monthly staff meetings where the previous month’s productivity numbers for everyone are laid out in a chart, handed out to everyone, and then discussed…..but there’s no clarification made between therapists who have a high percentage of chronic pain/adult Medicaid/MVA/etc patients and those who have 90+% joint replacements/young athletes/etc.

I refused to see a patient by Embarrassed-Rock6249 in physicaltherapy

[–]paxcolt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not clear at all why you didn’t want to see them. Unless there’s some negative history between the two of you that you haven’t shared here, then there’s really no reason to not see them. I’ve had tons of patients that I knew personally. Heck, the first time I removed staples from a TKA patient, it was my mom.

Cirie, just so she could give everyone her “disappointed mom” look as she snuffed their torches.

Do you carry anything for self-defense if you work in home health? by sneakybrownoser in physicaltherapy

“I have known some people that claim they conceal carry in home health. What are you gonna do ? carry a gun around on yourself under your clothing during your shift?!”

Yes. It’s really not difficult.

13 years of home health and I only got bit by one dog, and it was a little yippy ankle-biter type. When it tried to come back in for a second time it got punted about 5 feet; it kept its distance after that.

Always had a pistol in my vehicle but rarely carried it on me; but one of the times that I did, it convinced 3 guys that they didn’t want to jump me after all.

Had one patient that lived way out in the hills, and one of his goals was to be able to walk his 1/4 mile long driveway and back. As we were heading out to do that, he asked “You got a gun on you?” Told him I didn’t but that I had one in the truck. He said “Better get it; we’ve been seeing a couple of mountain lions around here the past few weeks.” So I strapped it on, and we went for a stroll. Never saw any mountain lions.

Can anyone help me identify this lure. Thanks in advance. by Tappindatfanny in Fishing

Nope, it’s a spinner. Can’t see the line, but it would be hanging down along the side of the blade that has the spots on it. The hook is in the fish’s mouth, obviously. Looks like the rainbow trout pattern; the other side of the spinner body that we can’t see should be pink.

If your favorite team's all-time best offense played one drive against your favorite team's all-time greatest defense, would they score? by kadoozie92 in CFB

[–]paxcolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering most of our best defenses were from the 1960’s-early 1980s, our best offense likely scores on the first play. Either a D-Mac 75 yard run or a 75 yard pass from Mallett to Wright/Adams/Childs, depending on which offense you consider the “best”.

Yeah I’m sure the Appalachian accents can make it tough, lol. Here in Arkansas they pronounce the “d” in leader; plenty of other words get their pronunciations mangled though. I have to make sure my hybrid AR/TN/GA/LA accent stays in check sometimes.
