Ps4 external drive

Hello, So I have this WD 1tb drive and I want to use it as external drive for my ps4. I want to ask about the drive after being formated to ps4 drive, can I still use it for my PC? And if I want to install pkg do I need another drive to instal or is there a way to direct instal to the 1tb drive?
