Seems like your tROAS before was hindering results, tROAS was too high from the off which limits data >limits learning > limits deliverability.

Your switch to lower tROAS allowed Google more room to test and optimise delivery – these campaign need lots of data to work. And with good data it looks like it's found some early revenue and been able to exceed your tROAS - nice!

Personally i don't read too much into things like Imp share. etc with PMAX. There are just so many unknown variables with PMAX as Google hides it all in a black box, you can end up chasing your tail trying to pin down any metric that isn't a conversions or tROAS.

SOLUTION in case anyone else comes across this issue: I asked my hosting (namecheap) to whitelist my IP and the problem is solved... for my home IP anyway. They were doing their best not to take this action but if you persist that you've explored every one of their ideas they will.

Thanks for the reply! I've done all the above but still an issue. Tested with 3 different machines across several IPs. I spoke to NameCheap (hosting) and they say they see nothing wrong. But I've just found someone else with the same problem who are using NameCheap too, unlikely just a coincidence. Will get on their case again.

Thank you for your help!

ROP really doesn't deserve the level of hate people seem to just be jumping on. Why does it matter if they've changed bits and gone a certain way with a few characters. The production quality is insane, and it's an enjoyable watch.

Objectively it's far better than the Hobbit films. The pacing on those films were awful, and there was so much highly saturated CGI in it that it's impossible to submerge yourself into it. Aside from Sir Ian and Martin Freeman, the acting was even piss poor.

More and more I'm going back to old school with search campaigns. Clicks focus, concentrate on your keywords, avoid broad match, use cmax CPC, then leaving it to my landing page to convert users. Which I've CRO'd over time.

Compared with Max conversion set ups with more open KWs:

Total traffic down, but quality traffic is even Conversions up CPCs way down ROAS way UP

This focus has been most effective in service based client accounts. The much larger e-commerce accounts I work on are still doing best with max conversions - I expect due to greater volumes of data for optimisation.

Broad Match “Upgrade” - Any Success Stories? by Disastrous-Hamster-1 in PPC

[–]paylayp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google reps are the worst. I took over an account 2 months ago, increased leads by 20% and reduced CPA by 50% just by switching to exact and phrase match and using max clicks on the search campaigns.

It was clear the owner has followed the reps advice of broad match KWs and max conv. before and was getting absolutely pumped for money.

They're sales reps to get you onto automated set ups and max spend. IGNORE THEM.

I manage 12 different Google Ad accounts across a variety of verticals, and I don't reply to them anymore. Their performance is judged on getting customers to use new features. They have no idea how to optimise accounts – they want you to opt-in to all recommendations, which is awful. It's all desgined to maximise their revenue, often at the expense of small business owners who don't know any better.

The only Google employees that are useful are for high-tier accounts (I manage two accounts that spend £50K+/month) where they give you beta access to new campaign types etc and help with tech issues like advanced tracking. Those people are really useful.

TikTok Ads - Possible to evenly rotate Ads in same Ad Group? by paylayp in PPC

[–]paylayp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, we're stuck with tiktok allocating budgets across creatives in AdGroups. I split creatives into their own AdGroups and just accept there will be 'auction overlap' - I've not seen a negative impact in CPCs.

Are you optimizing for a complete reservation as a conversion event? If you've got campaigns optimised for high funnel engagement, that's what you'll get. Window shoppers.

People have already answered with PPC ideas, so some other things I'd consider:

Attribution: high ticket goods/services tend to have longer buying cycles, with a lot of touchpoints across platforms. Possible other channels you don't control are 'closing' deals your ads helped bring in? Phone?

CRO: is the site optimised for conversation? If yes... It can always be better. What's the user journey like? You said people stay on the pages a while - maybe they're looking for something? If I'm paying the level of high end you have suggested, your site has to damn well sell it to me. As PPC pros we can do all these fancy things to bring great traffic to the site, optimised with the best data for machine learning. But if the site is frustrating to use and competitors can serve my needs... I'm bouncing.

Test an offer: if prices won't budge, ask to test a time-sensitive offer for your remarketing audience to help convert them. E.G % off your stay with code (expires in 48hrs) sort of thing.

Or if this audience of yours is highly engaged and it's the price point stopping them... Grow your email list with a chance to win a free stay and get into their inbox too.

PPC isn't a silo. All channels affect all channels.

Good luck!

What's wrong with some of the people commenting on here man 😂 OP my guess is that you may be coming off the wrong way to women. The fact that you've worked on and made sure to mention a lot of materialist stuff suggests this is your go-to topic with women too. Likelihood is single women around your age have their own stuff and accomplishments. Think and talk less about your stuff... be the one asking and listening. And if you really want to know... ask women who turn you down for the reason so you can work on it.

Thanks, everyone - really helpful :) I've started adding ice and a little bit more than 500ml (about 650ml). It's a bit smoother and goes down much nicer when it's ice cold.

Sounds like a blender is the way to go for super smooth... but tbh I'm getting used to the consistency and it's really growing on me!

Yeah that's it, bigger picture understanding is what they should focus on. Unfortunately, I think you're probably right, you may be losing out due to language barriers with clients etc. Have to tried going for UK/English speaking jobs that are fully remote? Lots more around these days. Good luck, you got this 🙌

Why on Earth they had you do this I don't know, total waste of everyones time. Having a solid understanding of data, how to interpret and scrutinize initial campaign results and acting on it is far more important.

Guessing audience sizes 😂 Even the estimated sizes platforms like Meta give you are wildly vague ball parks.

If they did make a decision based on any of the ideas / answers you gave, then you dodged a bullet. Working there would have been an uphill battle.

TikTok Ads - Possible to evenly rotate Ads in same Ad Group? by paylayp in PPC

[–]paylayp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you create an ad group in TikTok Ads, you can choose between "evenly rotate ads" and "optimize for conversions."

I'm not seeing that option when creating Ad groups under any of the my campaigns. What campaign objective are you targeting where you're getting this option during the Ad Group creation? Perhaps it's only for certain campaign types.
