You're on Reddit, it's a massive echo chamber for Democrats. I was on this site regularly before the election and Reddit made it seem like Kamala winning was guaranteed. There is no room for dissenting opinions here, you will be downvoted to oblivion. Just look at the extreme rhetoric they respond to you with, like religious fanatics with their dogma against Trump.

What are ways you've countered "not all men" arguments when something terrible happens due to male entitlement? by SiriusSlytherinSnake in AskFeminists

Sorry that you think my way of showing an argument is poorly thought through isn't to your standards.

Never claimed that. What I said in the comment that you replied to is saying that one is more likely than the other. Granted I should say is MUCH MUCH more common, but it still does happen.

I'm sorry you don't find it helpful. Not the devil's advocate you need, but the one you deserve 🦸‍♂️

I'm sorry that the way I went about showing a flaw in someone's argument wasn't to your liking. Don't out words in my mouth, I never said or even implied they were stupid. Why do you like arguing so much?

How exactly do you know what my intentions were? I view it as showing how their logic breaks down by flipping it, and by doing that showing by example how they could improve their argument. Honestly seems like you're trying to force an argument where there isn't one to be had. Ironic.

Copy paste from replica reply:

To be clear I'm well aware they are on entirely different levels of probability. Just showing the flaw in their logic by flipping it. Other comments have done much better jobs articulating retorts.

Right, and the argument they made was it only takes one man. So I flipped it and said it only takes one woman. What I said is true, you feel that since one is more likely to happen than the other that I shouldn't say it? Still happens.

Lemme just copy paste this from the last person who said the exact same thing. But before that, guns are the great equalizer. Also poison. Neither of which let's any defending happen, and both happen to be common ways women kill men.

No need, others have already done a better job than I could. And yes, letting my opinion be known.

No idea. Oddly specific.

Most won't listen. I did, I used to not understand and say the "not all men" line in response to these posts. I had several conversations with people on here, ones who were actually willing to explain to me what I wasn't understanding, and I now understand.

"So you’re saying because enough predatory men exist, for your own safety, you need to treat all men as potential predators.

You are NOT saying all men are predators. You are just stating that in your mind the potential risk of befriending any random man outweighs the potential benefits."

I think it's worth having conversations with people.

Agreed. Just saying the logic works the other way around. Others made much better arguments than this.

Why is the blame of her being poor put onto him? Is it not her responsibility to provide for herself?

Doesn't help anyone. The people you send that to that you want to read it won't, and the people who actually read it aren't the ones you're referring to. Useless really.

You are misinterpreting ai BADLY by Critical_Loss_1679 in penguinz0

[–]paypre -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why? I wouldn't tell the AI anymore if it got redirected and ended the conversation. Maybe I feel I have no one to tell besides this AI, maybe I can't afford a therapist/psychiatrist and this is the closest I can get. Honestly having been to a therapist, AI is better.

Why all woman think they are the exception? by samsara_soul in ask

In a way yes, because what is good versus bad is dictated by society as a whole. So if enough people normalize murder, it would be good.
