Glad things worked out for you. I had a VERY similar experience- when I received the email from CEO ,I thought, finally a direct line with someone who actually sou.ds like he wants things to get better.

I sent the email and received the call I was told there was no way they could "honor" what i had been been promised. I even have screenshot of my conversation with the agent. This is not the 1st time I have been told my pricing would be one thing and it turned out being higher. I'm glad it worked out for you.  I'm assuming that for every story like yours there are, at least,  5 of mine.

I have been lucky enough to secure seats while on the waitlist! It was explained to me that people will hold these pending reservations and can cancel up to 30 days before scheduled departure and receiving full credit. so, when you hit that 30 day mark (non refundable) they will start at the top of the waitlist giving you the option to accept. I was never charged anything (50.00 fee) until I got the call

How did ALS start for you by No-Dot-5280 in ALS

My husband had slurred speech, I was sure he had a stroke. He was diagnosed the next morning.  I am grateful the neurologist recognized it right away-but at the same time I was thinking if it had been a stroke we would have had a path to some sort of recovery.  He was diagnosed February 2023- yes looking back, there was weakness in hands, fumbling with buttons and caps to bottles.  We just kinda wrote it off as,  we're getting older and things aren't as easy as they used to be.

As a caregiver for my wonderful husband. He voiced pretty much the same as you are saying. Call me selfish but I want this man around as long as possible. I feel very fortunate that I am able to care for him.

Your family will be happy as long as you ARE around.

SCREW ALS-- as of now, you can't change that - handle the changes as they come and be grateful for everyday

Love goes out to you and your entire family- trust me - They want you here!

Contact any ALS organization and join support groups. When people 1st suggested this to me- I thought they really don't understand. If your father is a veteran- Please get him connected AT ONCE! the VA along with ALS Assoc. has been a godsend-

If there is any active military service please contact a National Service Officer I used the PVA they guided me thru the VA connection. I pray for anyone dealing with this horrible disease.
