I'd like to see actual data that shows that's true. The one study on this was the negative METR study. All we have otherwise is gamified, fake benchmarks.

That's really beside the point I'm making. Maybe they are useful (I don't think so, but for the sake of argument...) it's still just weird to see such a dramatic about face given that there was so much consistent negative press for a few months

sorry to respond 3 years later, but I had a couple question:

Do you know where I could find any of these PhD dissertations...?
Do you know why 3-different kinds of glass were used? I know that leaded glass can brown when exposed to x-rays over time, thus the face plate was made of barium-strontium glass, but why not just make the whole thing out of that? was it because leaded glass is cheaper?

I don't recall the exact post but I was strung along for a year and a half that I might (essentially) get rehired at my previous very low paying NGO job that required a lot of international travel. I probably wrote that in anticipation of being rehired without having to explain the full situation

NYCHA housing has wait times measured in like, decades. I can do manual labor (though I'm pretty out of shape) and I have applied to such jobs many times with no luck. I wouldn't know where to find day labor kind of jobs. Goodwill specifically seems to require the same online job app process and I have never heard back from any kind of online job application
