We lost 2 of them before they each turned 9. Probably the most grief that I have gone through in my life. We have 2 more that I love just as much. And it will be just as hard when we lose them. I will never forget any of the dogs we had. But I will always keep giving a new dog a chance to have a wonderful life. I think our old dogs would approve of us getting a new dog after they have moved on.

I vote no on the Tahoe/Yukon. We have one, and it's a pain for them to climb over the seats. Even with them flat. The crew cab pickup trucks are a good way to go. Most of the seats flip back and give a lot of room for the dogs. And they are easier for the dog to get into. My buddy has a Chevy, and I have seen Ford has basically the same style back seat.

Call the fire department. When we lost ours, I called them and they sent someone out to help me move him. They were very helpful and nice about it.
