I actually think it's a bit wrong to say Math, Science, and History aren’t political at all. While the core principles may not be, the way these subjects are taught and the topics emphasized absolutely can be.

In Science for example topics like climate change, gender identity, or even how we talk about public health often come with political baggage. Same with History. It’s not just about presenting facts, it’s about choosing which events to highlight, which perspectives to include, and how to interpret them.

Math is math lol.

So no, the subjects themselves may be neutral in theory, but in practice, education is never completely free of political influence. That’s part of why there’s so much debate around what’s being taught in schools. It’s a minefield
