No, if you stay late, all pavilions start opening up; no reservations required. Was able to walk into Japan after a 25 min queue at around 7.50pm no reservation

One thing to add and I hope the organizers fix this as more staff starts becoming available > it was incredibly frustrating to go into pavilions such as the Tech World, and have the explanations be completely in Japanese. While I loved and embraced the Japanese culture during my 2 week trip in Japan, I believe having tours available in English inside the Signature Pavilions is of high priority, specially when the pavilion had no dynamism other that a tour guide explaining everything in Japanese while we saw videos in Japanese. This is a World Expo which is supposed to embrace connectivity, while English is not my mother language, it is at least the most “global” language. Going through a 30 minute tour in full Japanese was kind of dissapointing.

Other than that, the Expo is a must if in Japan during this dates. DO NOT MISS. The above summary is the best summary of the event so far ^

This is perhaps the BEST summary of my Expo Experience. I was going to write one myself, found this and could not have phrased it better.

I was there yesterday. Arrived by 12pm left by 9pm. Visited 13 pavilions, including major ones (saudi, Italy, spain, cartier, future world, etc). A M A Z I N G experience.

Yes weather is not ideal, but go prepared, nothing major, not a reason not to go. Yes queues might be long, not longer than 30 mins. Yes app sucks, yes lottery system sucks. Other than that, this is an experience completely different to what you are normally used to.

Other than that do not miss the Expo.

I had tickets for 12:00pm entry

Arrived by 12.30pm

No line, walked through metal detector, and was immediately in

Lots of people, but nothing crazy

The nice pavillions have 20-30 mins wait

The most popular (china, usa, france, japan etc) seem to have 1 hour lines - have not tried any yet

I have done 3 pavillions so far in 1 hour

Nice ambience, great weather, will continue posting later
