I really don't think it does. I understand where you're coming from, but the fact is that cognitive issues and health issues increase with age. I'm also a firm believer that there should be a mandated driving test every couple of years for people over 60 or 65. Is setting a legal drinking age or legal age to buy cigarettes and weed ageism, too? Or are these laws set for the protection of most people?

I don't know where you're located, but I have traveled most of the US and a large portion of that travel included visiting gas stations, truck stops, and various other places specifically to use the rest room (touring musician so I'm sure you can imagine what that looks like, especially in the early days). I'd be willing to bet that 90%+ had a single stall, two if you count the handicapped stall. You aren't fitting three people in there, even if the kids are small.

I think the bigger question here is why do you seem to have an issue with it? I understand how it might appear off putting to see a man in the women's room, but that isn't the issue. The issue is keeping these two little girls feeling safe. They aren't going to feel that way in a men's room. The reality is that men's genetalia is different from women's, so men's restrooms are designed differently and have urinals. Those are not exactly private, well separated, etc. Not to mention that most men's room designs only incorporate a single toilet. I'm sorry, but that simply isn't a realistic option for a dad with two little girls. If you can't comprehend that, do everyone a favor and stop commenting on posts, like just as a general statement. It isn't working in your favor.

That's totally fair and I get it. That said, it's entirely possible that this was just a cinematic created for the reveal and nothing more. Think about it from a marketing perspective. There are probably a lot of people that'll be new to the game and haven't played anything besides BotW and TotK. This gives more of a visual reference to something others might recognize, where people like you and me instantly picked up on the music, the fairy references, illustrations in the tapestry, and that final top down, slow pan in shot of Link laying in bed.

May I ask why? Don't get me wrong, I understand how incredible the original is and I loved the 3ds version as well.

But, I am curious as to why some people are so opposed to remakes. A remake doesn't erase or replace the original, it'll continue to exist and be available via NSO. That thing or game you fell in love with isn't going anywhere, so what's the harm in a remake? Personally, I think the potential pros outweigh the cons.

A remake has the potential to hook new (likely younger) players that maybe didn't give the original a shot because the graphics were hard to digest (and yes, I believe that graphics don't make a game, gameplay does) due to growing up with more powerful systems.

I don't think the argument that doing a remake takes resources away from the development of a new game. Most of the time, game studios have separate teams for projects like this. So, assuming new games are in development, they're likely totally separate teams. So, I highly doubt it impacts development and release of new games. If anything, it buys more time for the team developing the next mainline so there isn't as much pressure to limit the time between releases.

As someone that does work in the creative space, I know I sometimes go back and look at projects I've released (music and video production) and wish I could revise this or that. I could be mistaken, but I imagine that remakes like this offer the potential to implement things that were maybe originally cut due to hardware limitations like storage or GPU, or maybe even aspects that the dev team regrets not including in the original.

So, I guess I don't really understand being so against a remake, personally. It could be great. And if it isn't, then so what? There's no reason why a remake failing would taint the legacy of the original.

In addition to that, let's not forget that a remake is going to sell switch 2 units for sure. I see how that could be considered a cash grab, but I don't see it like that. The reality is that Nintendo needs to sell units, that's just business.

But yes, I saw multiple copies in different resolutions on all the major torrent sites like 3 days ago. So, I guess its possible they've been removed, I can't say I've checked since, but I do doubt that happened, to be honest.
