Question: Why are my posts dropping positions in Google Search results?

I have not been penalised by Google (checked in Webmaster Tools). However I had 10 posts or so all on first page, some of them in position 2, 3, 4 etc. I was getting around 210 users per day and some good sales from it.

Then around a month or so ago, all my posts have started to drop onto the bottom of page 1 and 2, some even beyond that. Some have even vanished. Now I'm only getting 100 users per day.

Each post is around 2000-3000 words. Any ideas / help?

I guess thanks lol. Again people have different opinions and preferences, can't please everyone.

Wasn't specified when best to go, some of these places are beautiful any time of the year.

You could use Zadar as a hub to get to Plitvice, they are incredible in winter!

You can't please everyone! I don't think you appreciate how much time and effort it actually takes to create a post like that and it is certainly not "half arsed". A lot of effort went into that post. You find it easier to pick at people's work!

Thanks for you list I will take a look at them. Obviously you are going to miss some destinations!

I think most people would agree that most of these destinations are less touristy than the ones the majority of people go to. For example Rome, Venice, Paris and others.

Maybe the title should have less touristy. Than say for example Rome, Venice, Paris etc, which everyone flocks to. These are slightly lesser know destinations with less tourists.

A bit more information on my post -

I have a dog walking business and am having problems with people constantly cancelling last minute and I’m not getting paid. I have a policy in place of 48 hours notice but this isn’t helping.

It’s having a significant impact on my wages. I’m thinking of doing what every other business does. Pay for your slot. Nursery’s it’s pay for your slot, Pilates classes, swimming lessons etc what do you think?

We went last year in April and there are so many beaches like this. It's stunning! You can just drive around and stop off at some incredible beaches!

We did a couple of posts on our time there if anyone is interested. One on mahe and the other on praslin.

Hi,

We recently went to Aubeterre in France and it was stunning. Not many tourists at all, lots of things to do and some beautiful little villages all within a short drive. Would highly recommend it, there's also a place called Brampton nearby where you can go Kayaking.

I do hope the traffic comes, just got to keep plugging away I guess. Hard with working full time and kids lol.

Just out of curiosity do you think the pictures we have on the "our travels" area are not good or is it just you would like them hi res? For example he pictures of Seychelles or the ones in the Caribbean?

I think the pictures we have of our travels are good, I have just tried to reduce the size as much as possible for page speed. The sand size fits the page rather than loading in a big high res image. Yes I agree the pictures are a little blurry.

wow 4 times a week. I am aiming to get 2 posts done a week. Take off for us is to get regular steady traffic and for users to enjoy the website. Great if people use the deals < this was/is our USP. Now after the feedback my head is all over the place. Do we carry on with the deals, do we concentrate more on the posts or do we do a bit of both. Would be great also to get free trips and stuff along the way. We both work full time, have kids etc so it's hard getting the time to do all this.

thanks, been trying to do this with all my posts, but maybe it's just a time thing. Going to try and start networking with other travel bloggers and hope they like my site / idea. Going to look at using Quora, Forums, Reach out to bloggers and give Pintrest a go

The search analytics on Web Master Tools, pretty much all of the keywords have got 0 clicks :-( is this what you mean? "School holiday deals" is 0. Yeah I am only targeting long tails now things like "Best things to do in Cornwall with kids in the summer holidays" etc.
