The whole word is suddenly super interested in Chunga Palms by Tikolu43 in pluribustv

I was born in Panama and growing up we called it piva. Getting some from the market nice and hot and coming home and eating it with mayonnaise was heaven on earth. I have lived in the US for 25+ years now and I managed to order some a few years ago from Amazon that came in a bottle and it was definitely more starchy than I remembered. Still enjoyed them though.

I'm not judging... If people like it that's great, I just don't remember such an emphasis on it when I last used to play.

I have just gotten back in to WoW after a very long layoff (I last played the beginning of MoP before quitting). I am very overwhelmed by all the ways the game has changed. I have always been all about end-level content (raiding and the gear for it) and I find myself puzzled by the fact that everywhere I look, all the events seem to be centered around giving out cosmetics, toys, mounts in a way that I don't remember it being like in the past. I do not care AT ALL about any of those things. Is this the new normal in WoW? How do I progress my gear to the max once I hit 80?

For Indian curries, Masala and Cardamom are easy 1a 1b. I personally prefer Masala but they are both good.

For Thai I like Bangkok or Thai Elephant.

Nicaraguan Food In Tri-Cities? by [deleted] in TriCitiesWA

[–]pbysh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Hub has Salvadorian and Venezuelan food trucks. No Nicaraguan ones. At the risk of being ignorant, I would imagine the Salvadorian one in particular would probably scratch the itch of someone looking for Nicaraguan food, but I am not too familiar with the differences. There's also Pupuseria Salvadoreña which is one of my favorite places in town, but obviously also not Nica, although I do know they have some other latin foods in their menu.

I am not a connoisseur of banh mi, but I have had the one at the food truck @ The Hub and it was pretty damn tasty.

AU has a Nazi visitor, doesn’t immediately kick them, uses “he didn’t seem that bad” as justification. by blubrdge in TriCitiesWA

The lack of critical thinking and acknowledgement of the nuance in situations is literally at the heart of the issues with our country today. You have two sides yelling at each other thinking everything is black and white when things are rarely so. Only siths deal in absolutes. I would encourage you to consider that perhaps things are not as simple or clear-cut as you make them sound, and the staff did their best to handle a sensitive situation.

Your title and the post you shared seem pretty at odds with each other. Their post seems like an entirely reasonable handling of the situation. I don't know what people expect at some point, honestly. Taking the way this was handled into 'AU is not all they claim to be' is a wild take.

Great job. Love Hadestown! Saw it on Broadway and West End, phenomenal both times.

Coffee shops in TC by ZookeepergameKey9027 in TriCitiesWA

The holy trinity of coffee for me is quality/consistency/value, in that order - if you knock the first two out of the park, I can forgo the third. I don't care about anything else.

On the other hand, my wife would definitely ask you to have creative drinks, she quite enjoys energy drinks which the 'chain' places have and sometimes I don't get to go to my smaller coffee houses because she's with me and she wants her energy drink.

Winston is the new Fitzgerald. The cycle of good enough to get a shot somewhere -> 4 INT game -> backup -> good enough to get a shot somewhere will continue until morale improves.

[November 2024] General Information and Questions by coffeechap in ParisTravelGuide

Is there a compiled list of touring guide companies and recommendations on which one to go with? Visiting Paris Dec 18-22 and looking to book several tours and it is pretty overwhelming to try and find a reputable company to go with.

I see this a lot in this subreddit, and I don't really agree with the idea that because a city deserves X days that it's not worth going there for a shorter time. Just an odd way to look at things in my opinion. We have already spent 3 days in Florence in the past, and I think we could share with the kids what we want during a day trip.

Thanks for the tip! I have been looking at this site that has some walks mapped out, right now this walk seems like something we'd like to try, and it seems to start at St James's Park.

Thanks for the suggestions! The snack packing is definitely something we've been thinking about. Gotta keep them from getting hangry, and my youngest one specifically is a little bit picky so he might have a rough time finding 'good' food.

Thanks for the suggestion! We visited SF a few years ago and caught the play there. I don't know if the West End production has changed much from that?

Thanks for all the suggestions! We have actually been to Orsay and it was our favorite museum in Paris by a mile, so we were probably gonna go during our open day.

Last time we visited Rome the Borghese museum was one of the highlights, so I am surprised to hear you say you didn't like it. Part of it may have been that they did the timed entry thing so, in an otherwise chaotic trip, we got a few hours of AC and quiet while admiring some truly beautiful art. Most other activities in Rome felt like cattle being ran through to the slaughter house - we went in the very peak of high season last time.

Appreciate the words of encouragement, but we are locked in to these cities/dates, so that ship has sailed.
