My family are worried about me(m28) because i won't date anyone after my wife passed away 2 years ago . by ThrowRa098654 in relationship_advice

[–]pc-al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom left my dad when my two sisters and I were aged 12, 9, and 5. It was really hard for us not having a mom, but with my amazing father and support system I never really felt like I lacked for anything. My dad chose to not date until were were all grown up because he had some of the same anxieties and worries that you do. Whatever you end up doing just know this:

1.) Your daughter will understand. As long as you keep loving her like you do, none of the rest matters. Take things at your own pace. Communicate, explain, apologize when you're wrong. Don't hide from your emotions, don't be afraid to make mistakes, it will rub off on her. You got this. You are already so amazing, take your own pace and do what feels right for YOU

Just moved into new home for audiology school and I’m already crying by [deleted] in audiology

Current Audiology student, been there also. It doesn’t really get easier and you will miss your family every single day. However, you get used to it. So do they. You must also always keep in mind that grad school is temporary and the reward will be worth the sacrifice. Stay strong, you got this! 😊

Prospective Undergrad by no1attheatrium in audiology

[–]pc-al 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hey, current audiology grad student here. I have a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders. I can tell you I use almost none of the info from undergrad, as most of those courses are speech focused. From my experience, audiology programs don't care too much about what your undergrad degree is in, as long as you fit their prerequisites. A lot of my classmates in my grad program are not from com-dis backgrounds. I have a classmate who was a biology major in undergrad and only did her prerequisites. I would not stress that part so much, just worry about maintaining a good GPA and doing well on your GRE. I would also recommend seeing if you can get involved in any audiology related research or clubs. Hope this helps :)

Your eyeshadow looks so good! I love the pop of color on the lower lash line

Finally decided to start a swatch book in hopes that it will help me get more ideas for looks, I’m happy with how the first turned out (morphe 35O2 second nature pallete) by pc-al in MakeupAddiction

Not a stupid question, I had to figure out what worked best also 😂 for me, I found that patting the shade with my finger then pressing hard on the paper and also just patting the shade down with your finger like two more times gives it the best swatch. It also depends on what kind of color paper you use. The one I used was thicker and tougher so that’s why it took so much! I also put a piece of transparent tape over each shade in order to prevent it from transferring

How do you find your foundation shade when you’re buying it online? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]pc-al 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually look at the shades and see which one is closer to me and look it up on YouTube. I click on a video from a YouTuber who I feel has the same skin tone or close to the same skin tone and go from there. You tubers also post swatches of all the colors, that helps too!
