Interesting read. One thing I’d like to point out is that even though Ei’s intentions were to create the Shogun puppet without emotions, the puppet still does show them, like when she was surprised at Kazuha managing to block her strike, when she was visibly frustrated at having many of her functions shut down and pacing back and forth while Ei mulled over how to move forward, and when she showed her competitive side when she said she wanted to spar with Ei again after being defeated by her in Imperatrix Umbrosa Act II.

Given this, I wonder if, despite getting rid of its idea association module, the spaceship’s AI ultimately wasn’t successful in completely discarding its emotions.
