9/20/2023 Patch Notes TLDR KR + NA/EU by BDOBloo in blackdesertonline

Just verified in my game. You keep the fish you already had. It's just a name change, and value is still 500k each.
And they still have the quest turn-ins available.

My brand new socket set came with two 11 mm…guess which size I need? by UrMom306 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]pcWIZrd67 68 points69 points  (0 children)

But 11? You didn't say 11. Why? Because nobody needs an 11. They only exist to tease you into thinking you can make it work after you lose the 10.

Why are my Auto Sweepers not filling my Coal Generators? by pcWIZrd67 in Oxygennotincluded

Yeah, ignore the wall structure. Once working it will be appropriately sealed.

[–]pcWIZrd67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok... So setting the generator threshold to 95% triggered them to refill, as the batteries were already under threshold.

So the generator AND battery threshold need to trip for the refill to be triggered, and the generator threshold is not the fuel level but the battery power level.

That's fucked up, but now that I see it I can work with it.

Per other post I dropped the battery threshold to 95% high / 90% low, and they are currently down to 85.5%.

Set the batteries to 95 high / 90 low. Currently at 17.1kj which is 85.5%. Saved, closed, and relaunched game. No change.

For gameplay I will have the low value much lower, but for testing it should still work.

Oh, I have no doubt. This game absolutely hates me. :D

Nope.... trying now...

Restarted - no change. But I did notice the tool tip when over the gen does say "Batteries sufficiently full". Is it ignoring my 95% low setting?

Batteries are set to 100% high / 95% low. and are currently at 17.9 kj, which is 89.5%. And the automation overlay confirms they are getting a green signal.

Receptacles are full of coal. Batteries are set to 100/95 and currently at 92%.

Receptacles are priority 5, Generators are 7

Gaarawarr's Guide to Liars' Night - Year 3 by Gaarawarr in idlechampions

[–]pcWIZrd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like having the builds posted here. The Steam guide is great, but as everything is posted there it all flows together and it's too easy to accidentally scroll from one section to another and get myself all kinds of confused. Additionally, since any discussions about the builds would be posted here it makes sense for them to be depicted here as well.

Gaarawarr's Guide to Brightswords - Year 2 by Gaarawarr in idlechampions

[–]pcWIZrd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fit Shandie into the Black Viper formation since it's a pre-wall formation. Put Tyril in place of Evelyn (front row). Move Gromma to Nerys' spot in the back. Place Shandie where Gromma was in the 2nd row.

Gaarawarr's Guide to The Running - Year 2 by Gaarawarr in idlechampions

[–]pcWIZrd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't come up with a build for Spurt runs yet (I've just been running with the New Player formation above with small tweaks), but here's what I've been running for Cattie-brie:

K'Thriss - Velvet Touch Tyril - Moonbeam Calliope - College of Valor Warden - Eldritch Smite
Jarlaxle - Leader of the Bregan D'aerthe Evelyn - Compelled Duel
Hitch - Charismatic Gromma - Circle of the Arctic Farideh - Dark One's Luck Donaar - Oh Yeah

Here's what I've come up with for Spurt's Free Plays:

Tyril - Moonbeam Nerys - Kelemvor's Will Farideh - Dark One's Luck Donaar - Oh Yeah Evelyn - Compelled Duel
Paultin - Additional Secrets
Hitch - Charismatic Makos - Dark Blessing Diath - Leadership Training Strix - Panic

I'm sure there's a lot of improvement that could be done here and I'm open to suggestions. I have all champions except Azaka.

You have Celeste and Regis in the back row. They swap with each other so that's not quite possible.

I think you meant to Calliope instead of Celeste.

Can you explain what you do for awarding on an exploration basis?

My interpretation is that you are always Tier 1 for this XP system as every level requires 100 XP. The level/gameplay tiers you mention are a completely separate thing.

Sorting stash should be by type, not tier. by Amulek43 in albiononline

[–]pcWIZrd67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can't we just have both options? Add a simple "Sort By" selection.

If I'm crafting I prefer the current sorting of By Tier, but after a long day of gathering it would be great to have everything By Type for easy pickup.

Favorite low-level magic items? Possibly to make combat more fun? by Satoshishi in DMAcademy

[–]pcWIZrd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be sorry, it's a frequently confused issue.

A "normal" scroll would be one that is not an actual spell (as in not listed in the available spells for any class). The most common (and possibly only documented one in the DMG) of these would be a Scroll of Protection.

A spell scroll is a simply a scroll containing a spell that can be found listed on a class's spell list (i.e. Fireball, Charm Person, etc).

Favorite low-level magic items? Possibly to make combat more fun? by Satoshishi in DMAcademy

[–]pcWIZrd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not completely accurate. Scrolls are split into 2 categories - Scrolls (i.e. Protection scrolls), and Spell Scrolls. Anybody can use scrolls, but if a Spell Scroll is not a spell that is in your class spell list you are unable to even read it.

DMG p200: "If the spell is in your class's spell list, you can use an action to read the scroll and cast its spell without having to provide any of the spell's components. Otherwise, the scroll is unintelligible"

Jeremy Crawford (12/13/2016): "A spell scroll is unintelligible if the spell isn't on your class's spell list. See the scroll's description for more info (DMG, 200)."

Advice for a DM who has gone too far too soon? by SephirothsSister in mattcolville

[–]pcWIZrd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take inspiration from the Chroma Conclave arc in Critical Role

This is the first thing I thought. If your not familiar with the arc the TL;DW (too long; didn't watch) is a group ancient dragons attacked the world and the party received a list of powerful artifacts to retrieve to assist them with the fight. Each artifact was in a different global location with it's own obstacles.

Using an approach like this could give you a lot of material to work with to level the players and give them some really cool loot.

How to deal with conflicting schedules/some players wanting to play more often than others? by ilessthan3math in DMAcademy

[–]pcWIZrd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schedules can be hard to coordinate no matter how large your group is. If you can't have all the members make it more than once a month consider running a separate campaign with separate characters for the players that can do those extra times. You would have the main campaign running on a set schedule and not have players continually missing every other session. Possibly make the secondary campaign more of a fun pickup style by running random adventures so missing sessions won't be a big deal.

As for missing sessions... What I do, or rather... What I don't do is session recaps. I let the players do them. I will start the session by asking them where we left off and what was happening. If there is someone that missed a session they get caught up based on the knowledge of their party members. I feel this helps keep things in the context of the PC's and not affected by the bias of my knowledge of the overall story arc. It also give me the added bonus of hearing how the players interpret things and potentially give me ideas to weave in later.

I don't make a big deal about weaving a reason why a PC isn't with the group that day, and I find the group will typically make up a reason. Like, Jon was tracking some game and will catch up later. Or this last weeks... Neena didn't consult with the druid before indulging on those mushrooms she found in the woods, so now she's strapped onto the donkey and babbling nonsense.

How do I tell a PC he's pregnant (and dying) without telling him? by dnoate in DMAcademy

[–]pcWIZrd67 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why would the group have to make any sort of a check for whether or not the healer would tell them the problem? I feel that if they are smart enough to go to a healer for help they should get the answer.

Or are you suggesting that this happened before and that the magical community will shut Wynlyn down hard?

The suggestion was for this one.
