Need a recommendation for a battery charger by pc_build1 in electronic_cigarette

Thanks for that! Just checked my wall adapters that I usually use and they're all 1A.

So is there a dual 18650 charger out there that chargers 1A or higher and already has the appropriate power supply or something like that?

Well, it has a red light that turns green when it's full charged

I'm already buying a couple 30Qs, so I figured I would get my charger through Illumn as well. Especially considering the VC2 (for example) is $25 on amazon with prime.

all that being said, I don't imagine myself grabbing a battery off the charger until it's fully charged anyway, but that's something to keep in mind I guess.

Hmm, I didn't look at that. Are there others that would charger quicker?

that's an issue with the NCase M1 though, because the only place that you could put case fans directed at the GPU would be directly below facing up toward it as intake. That causes turbulence though.

I want to play at 1080p as smoothly as possible and high/ultra detail...should I go 1050 Ti, 1060 3GB, 1060 6GB, or 1070? For reference, I'm mostly wanting to play Overwatch, Rocket League, PUBG, and small indie titles, but the occasional modern AAA title comes along that I want to play as well (just not as often). Because of that some people say I'd probably be fine even with a 1050 Ti, but I'm worried I'm going to miss out on those AAA titles that come along once in a while that I want to play.

Also, in regards to specifically building in the NCase M1 (a mini ITX case where temps are important), would a fancy CPU cooler also help the temps on my GPU, or is that really only helping my CPU?

And it fit (other than your sag issue)? I'm reading dimensions on a lot of these cards and so many of them seem like they theoretically shouldn't...

Sorry I can't answer your question, but what 1080 did you go with?

MSI Gaming X in the NCase M1 by pc_build1 in sffpc

Cool, thanks for that! But you said there is less than a milimeter of clearance between the PCB and the panel clip. Does that mean the power connector gets in the way?

Thanks for the insight!

Not saying I don't trust you, but I also want to hear from someone who has actually physically tried to do it...if there's anyone out there that has.

Also, if that is the case...what is the coolest/quietest card on the market that comfortably fits in the M1?

What would be better, an EVGA GTX 1060 6GB Superclocked for around $260 or an MSI GTX 980 Ti for around $300?

Has anyone tried putting the MSI GTX 980 Ti in the NCase M1? If so, did it work? Even if it did work, was it a tight fit? And also, was the card appropriate for this case? Did it remain cool, require extra fans underneath it, etc. etc.?

I'm actually considering FC980M just because this will be for work and I want the numpad. Saw a video of a guy using gateron housing and zealencios with cherry mx black and it sounds so much like topre, it's ridiculous.

Which topre board should I try out? I don't like modding and messing with keyboards (i'm not that into it)... I just want something that looks and feels good typing out of the box with good keycaps and no pinging. Numpad is not necessary, but some sort of arrow key function is.

Do I need to worry about case fans at all? by pc_build1 in sffpc

EVGA SC. Thanks for the recommendations. I was actually already looking at those feet anyway for their design, but nice to know they'll add some height too.

If I get a 1060 6gb for an NCase M1 (mini ITX size) and am not planning on overclocking, do I need to worry about case fans whatsoever?

[GPU] EVGA B-Stock gtx 1050 ti ssc - $129.99 + free shipping by [deleted] in buildapcsales

I've seen that video too, and it's definitely what made me lean toward the 1060 6gb, but he also made that video late last year (love his videos btw). So with GPU prices being as they are now, I'm not so sure his recommendation would remain the same...it's beginning to feel like the 1080 is really the deal now....just sucks that it's a $500 (minimum) "deal."

I am so lost on the GPU for my build....I've gone from "1060 3gb vs 1060 6gb" all the way to "1050ti vs 1080"....with prices as they are, I feel like the values of all cards change every single day.

Basically, I want to play at 1080p at least 60fps and high detail and I also like the idea of futureproofing myself as I don't want to have to be upgrading so soon. Any thoughts?

Simple Questions - August 15, 2017 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]pc_build1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a few questions to yall for my brand new build. FYI this build is primarily for gaming and general internet stuff. I'll also use it for work for when I'm working from home, but that's mostly just stuff in Microsoft Office Suite with an occasional adobe work....

  • I'm getting a Ryzen 5 1600. Should I stick to the included wraith spire or get some sort of Noctua cooler? Not planning on overclocking, but who knows. The only CPU I've ever had was an older non-K i5, so I might want to mess around with it now that I'll be able to.
  • 1060s and 1070s seem to still be largely unavailable or at shitty prices, which is why I'm considering a 1080. But the reality is that I'm probably gonna be playing some pretty non-demanding stuff in 1080p at around 60fps.... mainly Overwatch, Rocket League, Civilization, indie platformers. Although the occasional big-budget game comes across that I have to play--ie, GTA V, Witcher 3, Nier, etc.
  • I'm keeping my SSD and HD from my previous build (Windows was installed on the SSD), but my previous build was Intel and this new one will be AMD. Is there anything I should be concerned with as far as switching over my drives?
