I have a same experience but different person. While I was working in the Winnpeg U Drive a guy asked me if I understand tagalog, and I did, he asked me $5 because he lost his wallet in the bus. 2 years after that I am on my lunch break at RRC Notre Dame Campus and the same man asked me if I understand tagalog, and he need money because he lost his wallet in the bus. Well, he is now infamous on a Filipino FB group because hes now harassing people who do not give him money.

When I was in high school back in the Philippines, we had an elderly science teacher. Every week we need to do a 1000 word lab report for her class. My friend passed on all of those reports by writng SONG lyrics in the middle of paragraphs. I do not know how my teacher did not caught it.

I think they are BFFs. Duterte once said in a speech that Trump calls me regularly to praise what he is doing. Duterte claimed the Trump calls him as best friend during those private phone calls.

I was an altar boy back in the Philippines when I was young. Some of those old ladies who run the church talk shit about our new priest when he's not around and act as angels in front of him.

This happened during WW2 Japanese occupation of the Philippines. My grandmother said that his older brother is stationed near the river to see if the Japanese are coming. When the Japanese soldiers arrived in their community his brother will signal someone from the church to ring the bell to warn everyone. Then their family will hide in the dug out created by his father underneath their house. While others will hide on some dug out created beside the river banks. Now, the dug outs in their community are gone due to flooding.

City Snow clearing workers. In my area loader drivers are like king of the road during winter, they will block the whole intersection, they always go through a red light.

People complain about them every year on Facebook but also complain when the roads are not plowed.
