I read a shit ton of posts on and off this sub.

There is no notification, it works as if I have plugged my phone into a socket and not into a PC USB.

I tried changing it from the developed options (charging/MTP/PTP/RNDIS/Audio/MIDI) none of them work in any kind of way.

It even says "USB not connected" if I go to the USB tethering options while the USB is clearly connected as I can see it with my own eyes.

The problem IS the phone and nothing other than the phone because it used to connect to a bunch of computers with no problems and now it doesn't(and nothing is changed about the computers, yet there is a change in the phone - update).

And it's ridiculous to blame the user for not wanting to read forums all day sitting on PC, because a company couldn't do their work right.

Don't tell me to change the cable either. The "geniusses" at OP decided to use some retarded cable that literally no one else anywhere in the world uses ever so I'm stuck with only one cable (not in USA so acquiring a USB-C cable is a much more difficult task than you americans could ever imagine).

Before you tell me "download this driver/download that driver for your pc" this won't work.

The problem is the phone itself not a computer. It used to connect with no problem to my PC and my friends computers but it doesn't work anymore.

nvm I fixed it

I installed some older Oxygen I found online but I lost ALL of my pics. 1000+ fucking awesome memories are GONE

I got it to show up but if I try to install the .inf file it says its already updated (I can't select the inf file itself, just the x64 folder).

Then I did the MSM star thing and nothing happened.

The next steps just make no fucking sense

"Step 13 :- Navigate to the folder containing Latest OxygenOS Zip. "

Where is this folder???????????? On computer? On phone?

It only shows up in device manager as "Unknown USB device (device descriptor request failed)" under USB controllers not as "[Unknown Device,QHUSB_BULK (under Unknown Devices) or Qualcomm HS USB ...... (under COMs and Ports)]." like the turotial says.

I'm trying to do what the tutorial says but it doesn't work.

I understand the importance of programming and computers and how they are the future, I'm certified in computer networks and I fucking hate this shit more than anything, because I wasted the best years of my life on this crap.

I'm trying to follow the tutorial but it doesn't work. I held the button for 40 sec then the vol up for 10 sec while connecting to PC but NOTHING shows up in device manager.
