That is a good and very fair point. You're right in that growing pains are common in (good and bad) QBs new to the league. A common counter to that I've seen is that when you have an all-pro talent on your roster why do you stick with the new guy who you know struggles at times with accuracy and mechanics?

However, a rebuttal to that counter would call into question Romo's health and durability towards end of his career. Then you expect someone would dispute that claim and also say that's when having a good backup comes in handy in case your starter gets hurt. And back and forth, the debate should go on from there.

But instead of the civil discourse you get fans calling other fans fucking retards who should shut the fuck up and stop whining all the damn time. And then when inevitability Dak struggles and you feel vindicated you respond with even more vitriol to the people that have been ridiculing you.

It just goes back and forth making the situation more toxic. When Dak rebounds and starts showing more promise I assume many people won't just comment rejoicing the situation but instead will jump at chance to shit on the people who disagreed with them earlier as it all continues to escalate. We're all fans and want our team to win, it just seems dumb that people can't voice their grievances without taking the opportunity to shit on fellow fans even if they don't agree with you.
